Few minor points - try making the stone steps blend into each other more - maybe with some smaller variations lying in-between the gaps of the big ones. I'd also suggest trying to tint the stones etc. so that they match. Some more detail put into the temple floor as well would be good I feel, something to break up the monotony of the flooring.

In regards to the flooring, as Joecab said - texture play. One technique I used in my temple maps was to get say where it looks like one 'tile' of the flooring may have been lifted away etc. and replaced it with another texture (e.g. cracked floor, dirt etc. etc.). Can work out very nicely if you play it right.

Overall good start to a map - keep it up!

When loading up the game, it comes up saying that the game is up to date, absolutely fine. Although when loading up the editor, it's still only reading 2.0.8. Very occasionally it will have the spinning green circle when playing, but that's very intermittent. Full game, battle.net account and everything. Any ideas?

    Hi guys,

Hope you're all well - just a quickie regarding pitch and roll. I say a quickie, because I can't for the life of me figure out the commands to be able to alter a unit / doodads pitch and roll! I checked Mozared's WTE called 'Pitch and Roll' whereby he stated the button combination necessary, but this doesn't work for me, and I've been trawling through the command list trying to find the relevant one to associate buttons with it, but alas, to no fruition. Anyone either have the name of the command line please, or any advice on how to edit the pitch and roll of the doodads without using the buttons?

    Much appreciated amigos!

Aha thank you very much :) and the new accounts because I can't for the life of me remember my old login details (been quite a while since I've had to login and on account of my other game accounts being hacked, so have had to change everything). I've found with that Kaldir tileset there isn't that many doodads that really go with it - city ones are all too neat and too clean (even if you add snow drifts etc., where they're not present it's still too shiny), and a lot of the ice/snow doodads seem a bit half-hearted and situation specific (Ice wave as an example). I'll have to tidy the cliffs up a bit (soooo many to keep track of) and go from there, see what I can make happen with a tileset that in my opinion, got only half its doodads.

On my new PC it runs very smoothly, my old one can't even handle HOTS so can't really check it that way :P

Hey hey everyone, (madlibrarian here) long time no speak. Thought I'd have a little practice with the new Kaldir tileset in HOTS.

Attached are some screenies of my work in progress so far - meant to be playable (not many triggers done, just enough to give a feel for it).

Points to note, the large crystals that appear fairly bland, in game, they're bright cyan and shiny. As well as that, the fog of war is black, so the areas you can't get to, can't be soon (hence the upper quadrants of the map may appear slightly more bland / less detailed - you simply won't be seeing them).

Anyway, I know there's plenty of talented terrainers out there, give me your critiques and what you'd do to improve it so far.

P.S. I'm looking for inspiration for an urban snow environment so if you've got some, hit me ;)
