regarding this, just use wander leash. It restricts it to a circle around the last ordered location. There might be a way to tell it to just go around the outside edge of the leash but idk.
I need 3 signs with city names. Carson City, Reno, and Las Vegas.
They dont really need to be anythign other than just rectangles with green backgrounds with white outlines, with the words on them. However, the carson city one should appear quite run down, perhaps snapped or with bullet holes in it.
The las vegas sign should have the Las part broken off and appear to have a piece crudely welded on with red paint smeared over it saying "NEW" where the las used to be.
Let me know if any more information is needed with either a PM or a post here, i'll try to check this thread daily.
Regarding your fence. Don't use generic metal fence post doodads, what you shoudl do instead is use the agria underbrush doodad for the cut stump, and resize it to very small X and Y and very large Z value, this will give you a matching "wooden" texture, then make a custom color and make it orange and vwalah! it will match your boards andd be wood.
Edit; mind if i steal your fence idea? I think it's really awesome.
this allows you to get vision of the attackers or defenders, blocks land pathing, still gives cliff jumping units and air units a travel time benefit, while also defending your defensive structures from meele attackers like dark templar, zealots, banelings, and zerglings.
I think this is a much more balanced method, so long as you can go around the trench on one or both sides.
There are a few approaches. So you want a trigger or data based version? I'll give you one with a mix.
You need to make two regions at the edge of every area transition you want this to happen for. one near the outside and one near the inside.
then make a trigger so that whenever a unit goes outside (enters the outside region) it changes a variable's value, and whenver a unit enters the inside (enters the inside region) it reverses the variable to the other state.
in each of those triggers you should trigger another that checks the variable then either gives the triggering unit a behavior or revokes a behavior that has two phases. the first phase would be basically a buff that says "you are going to take damage from sun exposure soon" then the next phase applies a periodic damage effect.
I want to make a third person shooter engine and use concentric cardioids that move and rotate relative to the position of a moving point to regulate where doodads are drawn.
edit: forgot to ask; How can i make a region bound by a polar equation?

it's good that 100% is too large, if you shrink it the textures look great! xD

why dont you use the already existing sphere model with a high hdr modifier in the color you want?

castarnar lightboards are super cool to make fences out of

we have alot of similar ideas on terraining. You should add me on msn. [email protected]

just use the bunker effect, then it will use the weapon that any unit put into it uses. Much simpler method.

Copy the ability that the bunker has and set maximum cargo size to 1 and cargo space to 2.

Do you want to hear what you're doing well or what you're doing poorly, and are you more concerned with realism or meele style playability?

why not a defensive trench?

edit i needed to space the picture

I think you can take the doodad and edit the actor then remove animations so it just stays still.
