Alrighty, done some searches, found some really impressive things that people have created, scoreboard speaking. However I have one small question that i cant seem to find an answer to.
Now, If i create a leaderboard, assign the player column, and add some players. And of course store the leaderboard in a gv.
Hopefully im just blind and missing something very simple, how do i find that players row for use later?
Example, i have added 8 players to the leaderboard. Now a player scores a kill, how do i return the row associated to that player?
I'de take a look at the Terran sensor tower, see how that works and duplicate it, sounds like that's exactly what you're after.
EDIT: nm, what you're after is a little more complicated, it seems like a minimap reskin, and then having the sensor tower like ability in an arc, instead of 360.
Was the button in CC2 valid? Make sure it is (make the exact same button on CC1) from what I can tell there's nothing left to change to make it show up, buttons are pretty simple compared to everything else in the editor :/
Sorry, i suppose i was a bit misleading when i said doesn't need a trigger at all, the trigger would just be a Any unit uses any ability, condition would be if ability used = custom xel naga ability, then get the targeted unit and give his owner X minerals. The xel nagas ability would do nothing besides target a unit.
Take a look at the tower capture ability, you could give the xel naga a second custom ability, with the same target filters etc, which instead of granting sight, would give minerals, put this on a cooldown of the periodic effect, wouldn't even need a trigger at that point.
Im pretty sure xel nagas stay active based on the closest unit, could be wrong, i haven't experimented with them alot. But yeah, can just use a region, realistically speaking tho, any ground only units within 1 of a tower that are enemy's, will only be around for one, maybe 2 tics at 5 second intervals, one side will be dead fairly quick. Of course your map that may not be true, but its up to you either way :)
may want to do some searches on this forum for DoW and CoH, someone was making a capture point style map based on those 2 games and he may have some insights if you send him/her a PM.
I believe the color differences are built into the tooltips, meaning, if a zerg neural parasites a probe and built a nexus / warpgate, the color of the protoss unit tooltips would still be blue, someone feel free to jump in and correct me if im wrong, but as far as color matching, if its a protoss weapon you're creating, make it blue etc. if its a weapon for all races and you want to dynamically assign a color, well, that gets tricky.
Try right clicking a marine, duplicating it (making sure to duplicate actors) and then just changing what you want. Ive found the best way to create a new unit, its to start by duplicating one whose model you want to use.
I think he meant that in the beta, a rally point would do an attack move as the unit was rallied, instead of a move command, and how he can change that behavior back.
I'm not sure where this is located, but i would start with the rally ability.
Identifying the trail of what effects what can be annoying at first, in this case i believe that you're after a behavior, which the research item applys to roaches, i dont know the name of it off hand, but search for roach in the behaviors portion of the data editor should bring it up.

Try putting a button on CC 2, maybe it has some kind of appearance condition? meaning it will only show up if there's actually something in CC2?

Why not just grab the closest ground unit within X of the tower, find its owner, then give the dosh?

When adding an ability to the CC, remember you first select the container ability, in this case, the Morph Drone > Building, or whatever.
Then on the next pull down, your lurker building will appear.

easiest way i can think of, is any script that gives vespine does a check for max vespine, and goes from there.

I'm not sure with a custom model, that's beyond what Ive been working on, but it sounds like you just want a marine model yes?
