Great thread! I've been mapping for a few days and for those who are having trouble download official blizzard maps and get a good look at how doodads and terrain are used there. Just open up an official map using the same tileset you want to use and get an idea for what's possible. Then play around and see what you come up with. More than likely you'll make something better than you did without a reference.
