    guys , does anyone know how to create this and can help me? ., it seems like an easy ability, but its quite difficult

    heres the info on it

    Its basically an ability that Links 4 units together in a chain. All units with Spirit Link on them will live longer, by distributing 50% of the damage they take across other Spirit Linked units.

    Important information to note : Damage sustained over Spirit link is never fatal. Fatal damage sustained via Spirit Link reduces a unit to 1 hit point, and dispels Spirit Link.

    use the same buff, instead go to the behaviour section of the buff

    then have it do

    -Disable abilities -Suppress movement -Suppress turning.

    And thats your stun

    my map works, but i get the hero icon missing and i see a bunch of error messages on load up of the editor, even though i havent seen any bugs in-game of the errors stated on the load up.

    posted a message on % Resistance

    So i use a buff to grant a % resistance against melee and range damage, however it never seems to work correctly when Stacking is factored in from other items that also grant Resistance.

    the buff looks something like this [Combat response 1, damage types enabled melee and range, and modify faction set to .75 for a 25% resistance]

    Now for instance, i have 2 items, that should grant 20% resistance, and another 25% resistance, so it should be 45% resistance combined right. Well this is not the case, i think it just goes of the highest value and completely ignores stacking. Is this intentional or am i doing something wrong here?

    not sure what you guys even talking about ..

    Sotis is more to the orginal, but for anybody complaining he didnt innovate dota enough is living in lies.

    Because lets face it, You innovate to much in that map , you loose what is dota.

    Has anyone here played City of Tempest? , i mean thats basically dota, but a whole new take on it. But guess what? it wont ever be as good as DOTA and i dont think it has a chance of dethroning SOTIS. ( blizzards dota will though because its another clone closer to the original, ppl dont want innovation.)

    Starbattle is another take on Dota in its own right, I mean what do ppl really want SOTIS to do for innovation, become like these maps? Face it, ppl do not like innovation on already established game types, Change around the heroes , make new items sure, but dont mess with the core.

    I see the creator of Sotis take alot of bashing for things that are out of his control, Including me on my map,so i know exactly how he must be feeling .

    What i find truely funny however, is that the most hurtful critisum always comes from other map makers. It never comes from the players.. If Sotis was such a piece of shit as most ppl make it out to be from here, then why is it always the top 1 or 2 map on the list?.. Deep down inside ALOT of ppl like sotis.

    I always say, new game, new engine, if you dont like, Just dont fucking play. Warcraft 3 is still there, Go play that. But you know what>? Even despite how good Dota is on war3. And old game is an OLD game, If it truely is that good, war3 wouldnt be the abandoned mess it is right now. You cant fill a single game if its not DOTA or footmen frenzy 5.4 AR and not even dota is filling as fast as it did before. Nothing will attract players. Ppl dont abondon games just for the sake of abonding, So as i said , and old game is an OLD game.

    Accept sc2 engine for what it is. Another funny thing is, Down the line like maybe (8 years from now) , there will be the same nostiliga effect on whatever other new RTS game blizzard makes, Where everybody will be saying, God dammit, none of the games are as good as starcraft 2 customs.

    The cycle will keep repeating it self. We truely dont know what we have till its gone.

    ill take a look at it if you want, my map is based on alot of heroes and reviving and such ( very rarely i get any bugs) ;P

    just state the problems you have and ill check,

    for the hero revive all you really need is 1 wait, and a custom script. or you could do a Data editor hero revive, up to u.

    use an ability 'behaviour" , that will make it toggle-able .

    okay after that, use a buff, go to the damage responce field and set it to 1 (100%). make it modify the amount of damage to 0 . Okay after that, go create a modify unit effect, That will be the amount of energy you want to drain on yourself for each hit. Now go back to that buff to the same damage response field and go to the field called "handled" , you can put an effect in there . Make sure the modify unit effect is targeted to affect "source" .

    Okay after that, for each attack, the modify unit effect will subtract mana. Now go back to the buff fields and and find the Validator -Remove field.

    you want to put in there 2 validators, there are already pre-made. Put in "can spend energy" and "has energy".

    that should be it.

    i not sure how i can explain it any better,

    A speed cap implies a speed cap :P

    lets say the cap is 5 movespeed. No unit should go faster than 5 movespeed in the game. It was something that warcraft 3 had to prevent to much speed stacking buffs from getting out of hand.

    Such as , bloodlust/endurance aura/unholy aura/Speed Scrolls all used together in team games. If there was no cap these units would basically be blinking across the screen. But thanks to the cap, they stayed within non ridiculous margins .

    basically it meant that no unit can go faster than the speed cap . So lets say an ability gave you 2000000000000 movespeed. Because of the speed cap you can limit it to lets say 6 . So no matter what , no unit can move faster than 6 movespeed.
