    Read a good book =)

Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Conflict is the only constant in the galaxy. Every animal, every being, is driven to conflict, to defend their territories and resources. Peace is imposed upon species, and rejected by every instincts.

Through passion, I gain strength. Anger makes my blows stronger, Love makes my conquests meaningful. To deny emotions is to deny the most basic building blocks of all living things.

Through strength, I gain power. When war comes, and it always does, only through strength can one have the power to survive. When all else fails, the one who remains on top is whoever can keep power from everyone else.

Through power, I gain victory. Victory through concessions or treaties is no victory. The true, ultimate victory is when all who oppose you are no more, and only through power can you achieve true victory.

Through victory, my chains are broken. Sharing power with the weak does not strengthens them, it only weakens you both. Only through complete victory over your enemies will you be completely free.

    What. The. Fuck.

Did you just quote the Code of the Sith?

I don't understand what you mean by "affect animations". Animation Objects can't have Property Layers added to them, so you can't do anything with them in the curve editor.

If you're talking about stuff like gradually changing the Movespeed or Time Scale of an animation with the curve editor - that's not currently possible.

Anyway, Blizzard's Cuscene Editor Guide explains the curve editor better than I could.

You'll have to use the curve editor to smooth out the movement of the camera object and give it that deceleration effect.

I'm not exactly an expert on it and I generally just select all the camera properties, open the curve editor, drag select all the points and hit "smooth". That usually gets me what I want.

What? They ARE in a formation! Loose formation...

Too bad youtube mauled it. It's too dark and too blurry.

Edit: Updated with newer version. Old one below:

Huh? What I was saying there is "too many anti-christian pictures, here are some anti-muslim ones". You read too much into things. I was just posting some silly memes to derail this thread and make the mods close it down. I think it's quite pointless.

It's unfair to pick just on Christians.

LOL WE MUST BUY HOTS WWWWWWWWWAAAAARRRRGGGGGG

Actually, you won't have to buy HOTS to get these features. It'll all be included in the pre-hots patch (just like in WoW). The difference with owning HOTS will be the ability to use the new units, tilesets, doodads, etc.

I personally like the diamond shaped regions the most. Remember screaming for them on the old battle.net forums during the beta :P

If the UI editor can be used to make dialogs that would be one thing, but it looks like it's specifically for editing in in-game UI

It's not just for editing the existing UI. You can create your own frames, hook them up as regular dialog items and manipulate with triggers just like any other dialog items created purely with triggers.

So... what happens when one of you proves the other wrong? If there was a flood, does that prove that the Christian god exists or vice versa? Deos the mention of a historical event in a religious text make all of the supernatural stuff somehow more valid?

    Quote:

Oh and Superman > Batman(Superman is invulnerable), and its unlikely batman could find and use Kryptonite against him. Batman himself is without any powers.

Actually, Batman keeps a chunk of kryptonite in a lead-lined pocket on his belt. He's got an response to everything... too bad those answers are only valid within comic books, not reality.

You've pretty much disregarded your own advice with this proverbial airing of dirty laundry.

This may sound a little tongue-in-cheek but are you implying that a cripple would be better off without mechanical assistance?

No. All I'm saying is that religious people are crippled in childhood and their holy books are their "mechanical assistance".

Not sure what the "airing dirty laundry" comment is about...

A little bit of advice: don't argue with a religious person about the contents of their holy fairytale book. Don't say stuff like "but God contradicts himself on page 42". Why? Because:

    • It validates the fairytale book, if someone is willing to discuss the contents seriously, it must be true or at least worthy of in-depth inspection
    • they always have some contrived explanation for everything (the one about the sun having an orbit of it's own to explain the bible quote about it moving was very good)
    • if they don't, they'll go to some crackpot creationist site and find one

Ask them instead why the other guy's holy book isn't true, or why people like them always choose the religion of their birth as the true one, or whip out the good ol' "we're all atheists, I just went one god further" saying. Anything is better than starting what is basically a "batman beats superman" discussion.

Best thing you can do, don't talk to them at all. I really think it's rude and cruel. It's like walking up to a cripple, trying to kick out his crutch from under him and then trying to steal it. Of course you won't manage to do that, because they've had it all their lives and will fight tooth and nail to keep it. The slave collar becomes so familiar and ingrown, that trying to take it off feels like a much bigger violation than wearing it.

You make a claim (a god exists), you prove it.

For the record: I'm a 6.9 atheist and I think these kind of threads are pointless, but very amusing :P

Alright what do you listen to? I eagerly await your response so that I can bow down before your musical superiority. :P

I ain't gonna say! If I do, you dumdstep people might like it and ruin my exclusive genre. Okay, it's movie soundtracks, anything orchestral really. Hans Zimmer can go stuff himself with his synthesizers, I'll take John Williams any day of the week.

"I hate something that you're talking about, so I'm going to shove my opinion in your face despite it being as relevant and welcome as a penis in your salad."

I completely agree, their music is shit. What is up with the quotes? Did a famous person say that? If so, I'd agree with them. Also, what does salad have to do with this? Quote only what is relevant, leave the penises out.

posted a message on AI editor vs old triggers?

I haven't seen anything in it that can't be done by triggers. It seems to be just a nice interface to speed up making and testing attack waves. Don't bother remaking old completed stuff with it, but consider using it in the future if working with trigger-made attack waves makes you want to kill someone.
