    @tigerija: this works for me. 1. Map 2. F9 3. Right click white area 4. Import 5. Texture (best location for organizing is assets/texture) 6. Select ONLY the folder/files you want, deselect everything else (this is the annoying part) 7. SAVE MAP ------Part 2--------- 1. F7 2. Go to Data Type and select Map Terrain Textures -or- Go to Tilesets and make a new one 3. Select a Terrain Texture you don't like (in my case nearly all the default textures) 4. Go to CTerrainTex_Normalmap AND CTerrainTex_Texture 5. REPLACE with ur choice ^^ 6. Double click the Terrain Texture you are modifying and RENAME it to whatever you want. 7. (Optional) Do this until you are done, then make a new tileset, then add the textures to it, and u have your own tileset. If you would like I can make a video for it today. But this is quick and if it helps then good. ALSO .DDS MUST be a power of 2 exponent, but you usually can not save it if it isnt, so this is a non issue. Good luck, and Bumpmaps dont work, you have to use the gray ones (whatever they are called).

I had to think of something to do, it feels lame to have something like Galaxy editor and not use it for at least one great project. All assistance will be considered, talented assistance is needed. My map page is pending approval so I can not give a link yet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So far I am working on conversions including HUD and sounds, (VERY important). It is a remake of 1.6, not source. Since Starcraft and Counter-Strike have been such long lasting titles, I figured this was destined. This will take me a while alone, but if I can get some help maybe it will roll out faster. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a list from the Map page: 英语 和 汉语 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version of Counter-Strike, in which instead of buying a multiple weapons you buy multiple units. I want to release an alpha before SC2 is released, then with the impending new units go ahead and finish the weapon options. IE: Awp=Ghost P90=Marine with adjusted fire speed Granade= Marauder I do not want one unit with switching weapons because SC involves multiple units, it would be a better blend to do it this way. Game modes: 1. DE: Slow Baneling=bomb, it plants itself and can not attack. must be defused 2. CS: Rescue civs (if they are in final release, if not for lulz it willbe mini-ultralisks). Starting units: 1. A knife (Zealot) 2. A pistol (Slow firing marine). Money system: 1. Identical to CS servers, kills + victory = money. 2. Money buys units, armor, armor upgrades (which are temporary and reset upon death). Upgrades: 1.As stated, Kevlar helmet upgrade only lasts until death Buy screen: 1. Spawn area prompts a shopping cart icon 2. "B" loads menu and allows purchasing of units. 3. Buy menu deactivates after 30 seconds. Economy: 1. This game will be slightly more expensive than counter-strike so that macro doesnt guarantee victory. AWP OP: 1. Awp's reload time is ridiculous, the weapon is an investment. So no OPAWP. So far: 1. HUD fully extracted from CS 1.6, and works. 2. Sounds working, each unit fires the sound of its originating weapon (IE: Ghost's gun makes an awp sound) 3. Textures from my favorite levels extracted, and original authors to be glorified in startup screen 4. Piece by piece replicating levels 5. Sounds like walking are working. Death: 1. After you die it will feature a chase camera until respawn, 2. when you respawn you will have only the starting units (Lots and Rine) again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PM me if you are interested ^^ 请不说汉语,我不时很好汉语学生。

    Does galaxy editor require your imported button be its own file, or can you have a file with a bunch of icons on it and select regions to be shown? Like on Prototype, you edit just one picture and the engine selects parts of it. Does Galaxy have this capability? If so, a lil explanation would be much appreciated.

    @Aenigma: you have to adjust the settings, youtube likes 600x480 i believe, a lot of videos are suggesting compression. try saving it as a WMV, then uploading it

    @irninja: not program"s" bro, program, there is just one that I can think of. Recording Software: FRAPS. its all u will ever need. Editing Software: Adobe premiere or Sony vegas (vegas is better in some ways, it uploads directly to youtube). There are also others. Uploading: Smaller than 1 GB, go to Upload button on youtube OR upload selected region (like loop region for playback) directly to youtube with vegas. if u need more info just hollar

    thanks to both repliers, I will try what was suggested and definitely check out that video. I am used to Hammer (Valve's world editor for those that don't use steam), so I am used to very different conditions with world crafting.

    When making an object I can not seem to export the whole thing.
     I am new to 3DS max, but have gotten enough info through tutorials to make the doodads I need.

    Why is it when make all the objects meshes and export only one of the objects is seen?
    using a group didn't help, I basically made a wall but only one pillar exports. I am sure it has to do
    with what I am doing on 3Ds max, if anyone knows how to solve this, any help would be appreciated.

    I don't have a "team" so anything thats long taking is a gamble for me. I'm going with the classic, get the level done as fast as possible routine.
    While fighting with 3DS to export M3.

    I like, Galaxy editor, sometimes would like it if it was more like UDK or Hammer, that is familiar ground. Like I wish Galaxy had the ability to cut out a huge portion of the map by using a negative shape like Hammer does. I posted this suggestion at Blizz.
