The wiki and tutorials a great, but I came up with an idea for a specific "How to" section that could be very useful for people to quickly look up how to do a fairly common and simple action in the data or trigger editors. Everyone could contribute and it would be a fairly good source for complete beginners to veterans that get stumped.
Here's an example of a list:
Attack:
Make unit attack ground/air/both: In the data editor change the Data Source to "Weapons." Search for the unit you want, eg "Marauder" and select the weapon "Marauder - Punisher Grenades." On the right hand side, search for the "Target Filters" field. Open up the values for this field. To attack either air or ground, you need to change the value of Ground or Air to "Required" to attack the desired unit type.
Unit properties:
Change unit's life: In the data editor change the Data Source to "Units." Search for your unit, eg "Zergling" and select the corresponding unit. On the right hand side search for "Life." "Life Maximum" is the most health a unit can have. "Life Starting Amount" is how much health a unit will have when created.
/end
Those were very basic examples and examples only, but I really think having a list like that will help a bunch of people out. The solutions aren't in depth but can cover a wide range of simple to do actions that just aren't worth tutorials. Not only can users search for what they're trying to do, and still use the map dev forum if they don't get their answer but they may also stumble across something that they never thought of too.
If the SC2Mapster community put in a few tricks here and there that they knew this list would populate very quickly and grow into a great guide.
This is just a suggestion but I really see it being practical and a great way to make this site more appealing to more map designers.
I've created a cannon that can train units but will stop attacking whilst training. I've poked around but can't find a way to allow it to do both at the same time.
In addition to showing the number of downloads of each file I'd really like to see how many views each project gets as that also helps gauge popularity.
Correct. I've played with that as well which is very handy by itself but it doesn't affect whether something will wait to turn before moving or not, even if you set the speed to very slow.
Yeah if you disable the move ability it won't move at all, same with the movable flag. I really thought it would have something to do with turn before moving but I'm still lost.
I'm trying to make units be able to turn on the spot but not actually able to move. I've messed around with the turnable, movable and turn before move flags, also the speed which they turn but no luck. Any ideas?

Why?

Is there anyway to freeze all animations and the rest of the game like at the end of a replay?

That would make sense

Ah ty! I didn't even think of the Planetary Fortress.
All I did to resolve it was change the ability Queue (5) to Queue (5) Passive

Yeah I've tried setting it to .004 but then the unit turns as fast as it moves which is... slow. :P
