When you create your account you start with 0 heroes, there are 10 free playable heroes each week.
Heroes can be purchased with points you get after playing games. They can also be purchased with real money. The only thing you can't get in the game without real money is skins, which are just for aesthetics. So basically you can unlock everything in the game by just playing it
The abduction and whirlwind spells wasn't the original idea i was talking about, I'm still working on that one, though I thought my abduction spell was pretty original. :D
And remember these are all done without triggers, also your reflective shield sounds cool I can't wait to get a look at It

Well here it is, after about 6+ hours and trying about 5 or 10 different ways to make this(starting off with heavy trigger abuse) I have finally managed to make this spell with no triggers whatsoever(even though it probably would have been 20x easier had I used them). It's amazing how the simplest of tasks in the map editor can take over an hour to figure out :)

Spell Contest Submission - Frost Nova
Sends out a wave of frost to slow enemy units for 5 seconds

I could increase the spin speed, the damage ticks however is like once every 0.1 seconds lol, it just doesn't do a lot of damage.
