    I have a unit that makes creep tumors. When the tumors die, they spawn broodlings, like normal zerg buildings. I want to make it so when the broodlings kill something, kill credit goes to the unit that created the creep tumor.

    I tried giving both the broodlings and the tumor the KillstoCaster behavior, as well as modifying the behavior to make it Kills to Source, Unit Origin etc. I think the problem here is that the broodlings are trying to give their kills to the tumor so they can in turn be given to the creating unit, but the tumor is dead so the chain is broken.

    How else can I accomplish this?

    I played this for a few hours by myself. It was fun trying to see how far I could get, but by myself I just can't build fast enough to survive past night 5. My guy is at level 5 so I just now go +1 damage, which doesn't carry me very far. Perhaps more bonus damage per level up. Again, this is just for playing solo, as I can't get anyone to join to play with more people.

    I attempted to apply the invisible actor to my model but it did not allow me to select my character. Using site operations require attachment points anyway as far as I know. I'm not sure this is the solution as the model I'm already using does have 1 attachment point and is not selectable, even with the selection layer set to 0.

    What this sounds like to me is not the Borg or the Zerg, but Replicators from Stargate SG-1. They start out as blocks to make the spider replicators, then the spiders combine to make queens and then they all combined to make a hyper drive!

    posted a message on [Video Tutorial] Tile Sets and Water States

    So I guess I did something wrong here, because I replaced my tile set exactly as you show, saved the game and restarted the editor and the tile shows up in the terrain editor but when I use it, it does not place the texture. Is there something else that needs to be done in the newer versions of the editor?

    Edit: So I went to the map texture settings and applied a different one and then reapplied the one I edited. Then I was able to apply the texture.

    Features:

    I am in Customer Service for an online game...and I hate it. Dealing with these people's entitlement complexes and inexorable ties to virtual identities and pixels is enough to make a person go crazy. This is why my biggest project is to come up with an MMO where the game play/world is the center focus of the game, not your character.

    I've been making games for as long as I can remember, way back when, I was drawing dungeons and weapons for pen and paper games. I made some maps on the SC1 editor and had a great time. One of my goals in life is to be able to play a game I made. The Galaxy Editor allows me to do that on my own time, at my own pace, as I want to do it.

    I get lost in making games. I can sit in front of the Galaxy Editor or 3DS Max for hours on end and forget I'm hungry, even forget to go to the bathroom. I sit in front of spreadsheets calculating data tables and working out formulas for long periods of time and never even know where it went. This is how I know I should be doing this for a living, now I just need someone to pay me for it.

    Thank you for a realists look at the US Gov. There is no good choice and bad choice for Prez anymore. There is not choice. Have you ever seen the magic trick where a magician tells you to pick a number, then a letter associated with the number, then asks you a bunch of other questions to get you to think of specific answers. At the end of the trick he names the animal, color, place etc. you were thinking of exactly. This is the same thing that voting for president is. It's a trick designed to make you think you have a choice, but in the end, there really is only 1 answer. I mean come on...who actually thought McCain had a chance? The worst part is, when the population actually doesn't go with the plan, they just force it through anyway. *cough* Bush vs. Gore

    Alternatively, all politicians are the same because you have to be. You have to be generic and fake enough to get the majority of the population to vote for you. There are not enough people that think exactly the same as you that would agree with you enough to vote for you if you actually spoke your mind.
