Click Wars Tournament v1.20 | Open Beta

Click Wars Tournament is a 3v3 team based game. Your objective is to destroy the opposing team's command center. You are able to send units (which give income) at your War Vendor (the Nexus in the middle of the map). To attack, you actually left-click with your mouse on the units that are coming towards your base. You are also able to upgrade your mouse attacks to improve damage or gain special abilities.

    How To Play
When you connect to Battle.net, go to Custom Game. Join game -> Show New Maps Only -> Go to Page 3-4 and find Click Wars Tournament. Join game.

Invite all of your friends to play with you! Also, just a reminder the game is currently in Open-BETA. When the game is no longer in beta anymore, a scoring system will be implemented to show the top players of your region.

So the "missile collision" is for abilities that have to be aimed then, I assume.

Pretty much. Warlocks is a game on Warcraft 3; you spend gold on abilities and items. Every missle on Warlocks reacted with another or negated it. Last warlock standing wins (usually the map fills with lava completely and kills off any AFKers ...etc)

Not a third-person shooter then what is it...a top-down shooter?

Like Warlocks...so I'm assuming you mainly use abilities. It's just not a shooter map I suppose.

I don't mean to sound mean here, but are you sure you "made" the quest system. It looks A LOT like QuestLine. All it looks like is that you just moved the popups. The color, style, and buttons all match those of that Quest System. If you did make it, good job. If not, man up and just say it.

Never heard of QuestLine honestly, but I am working on my own Quest Library (just called QuestLib), and will release it to the public after it is done. Still working out some things. Like I have to finish the action definitions, and the quest log isn't complete yet.

I don't claim anyone else's work as my own. All the libraries you see, I made too.

scrolling? I usually play with the keyboard. Nexus Word Wars can be fully played with the keyboard. Use the arrows to move around, and the hotkeys to spawn units and research upgrades. Don't use the mouse in this game. You need both hands on the keyboard.

Yeah, I use only the keyboard. I just hate going back and forth and back and forth. A lot of people have been complaining about it.

The players' banks save the ranking. So, in the beggining of each game the rankings are merged forming a new ranking that is spread to each player's bank like a virus. The player is identified by a 22-random-digits id, so that the same player cannot be twice in the ranking. Also, everything is highly crypted to avoid hackers. The basic idea is that the score spreads to each one you play and they will spread to each one they play and so on. Since there's lots of matches going on, this happens so fast that you cannot notice the delay in the score.

Ah. That's interesting. Well, can I propose a suggestion? How's about a zoom option because I hate it when I play that I have to keep scrolling.

posted a message on [RPG] BattleStar Online

BattleStar Online is looking for beta testers sometime in the future. This is a huge project and is having A LOT of work put into it. If you were a fan of Defi4nc3's ORPG in Warcraft 3, you will LOVE this game.

BattleStar Online (not related at all to Battlestar: Galactica), is an online roleplaying game with a save/load function. You are set in the Arbiter, a station sent to defend the nation's solar system. You are a new recruit, and must salvage enemy spacecraft and find materials on planets throughout the galaxy. Craft multiple types of ships and defeat enemies to obtain the best armor in the entire universe. Defeat all that stands in your path....or be defeated.

This game is currently in alpha; beta testing will begin as soon as more content and balancing has been made.

    What to expect:
In the beta, you should expect the following features:

    • Complete custom quest log (World of Warcraft status)
    • Over 6+ ships to craft
    • Over 100+ items
    • Hero classes
    • Crafting
    • Dungeons and Planets
    • Interstellar travel
    • and much more...

    View images here: http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/battlestar-online/

    What's being worked on mostly:
Trigger libraries, systems, and most game content. Terrain is going to be finished slowly, so the map won't be too incredibly detailed yet.

I was playing it a whole lot tonight. I don't have a screen shot but there was one issue where 12+22 = 22 did not work.

    12+22 does not = 22. It's 34.

Impossible, all math expressions are randomly generated and calculated by triggers. :P Maybe another played typed the right value together with you or there were some rare glitch on battle.net, which I don't think so.

The result is a trigger: Set result = value1 (operator) value2; It cannot be wrong just for one single expression. :)

I'm curious, how exactly do you keep track of all-time players? I know you use banks for local players, but what about EVERYONE?

posted a message on Right Click Drag Zooms through Terrain
    Quote from KillerGymSox: Go

Im making a melee map on avernus. I copied and pasted terrain to make each side a copy of the other. When I am in the editor and I right click and drag to move the screen it bugs out and zooms in and out instead of moving the map. Zooming sometimes does nothing at all. If I click on the minimap it sets the camera in a funky angle.. Not only that but when I set a cliff to it's lowest it doesn't show the space terrain but in the past it has for me.. Anyone else get this problem? it happens sometimes to me.

I think I'm getting this too. Sometimes when I move the map, the map dissapears or zooms in weirdly, and it just won't stop.

BattleStar Online is a game in development currently. I am keeping details on the minimum for now, but all I will say is that it is an RPG for StarCraft 2 with many fun features you will enjoy.

Right now, I am searching for storywriters (will write missions, and parts of the storyline, and units/abilities (not actual triggers). People working on the game with me will learn about it.

posted a message on My Custom Map Crashes at loading screen! HELP!

Shy excuse for an editor? It's the user, not the program. The game could be crashing from a trigger that starts at Map Initialization.

Also a good word for advise, if you don't like the editor that much; don't use it. Not like you could create a better one.

Thanks for the tutorial, I need some help, why my data units and actors not same as you?

as you can see my Units type is CUnits

and my Actors type is difference.

it seem like i cant find the units like your in Actors type.

Your editor shows raw data. Mine doesn't. You can change that option in your data editor somewhere.

Here's a hero revival. It's MUI so you don't have to do a lot besides setup the following parameters:

    • Unit
    • Revival Time
    • Location
    • Health %
    • Energy %
    • Shields %

    Have fun.
