See, no one talked about Canada here. We're too boring and normal. I guess that's good for living here, but we aren't really a world power decision maker.
Oh yeah I love the video! Great watch for anyone really :)
Looking back now, I think part of the success of (my map) Death Haven, was that it did ramp up nicely. You start out at the landing site, with a simple goal of making your way to town. This gives a brief introduction to enemies, combat, and the story. Even if you don't know the goal, it's the only thing you can do, so the player can easily become invested. Then at town, there are a few cutscenes (which most people skipped), but essentially enemies start attacking the town and you're thrown into defending... and finally through death and replaying, you learn how to get better and better and work out strategies of defense against the Zerg waves.
The funny thing is that most of that ^ was completely accidental. I now realize many of the reasons why it was more successful than my other maps. At the time of making it though, I didn't really think about any of this. Just worked out I guess...
Nope, active includes all comp players in my experience.
I think the difference is that if a player leaves the game, they are no longer considered active.
I believe this is true.
Some times for max verbosity in my maps, I've just looped through numbers 1 to 8 (assuming i've had 8 players), and check if that player number is playing, and not controlled by computer...
You know way back when, here in Vancouver, we took some of New York's gray/black squirrels as a gift. But when those squirrels came here they basically overran our brown squirrels and now you can almost never see brown ones :O
Back on topic: I'm starting to think this video is fake now. The camera looks like it's on rails, and you never actually see any shots where people get hurt. It's all just too smooth...

@JademusSreg:
Lol well let's hope everyone is constructive. I just thought they were adding a 'currently hosted' lobby system...

Everything looks nicer but it doesn't make me want to play custom games still. :/
I recorded a video but haven't uploaded the file. I can't find any info about NDA... I emailed them to check.

Yeah I got it too. Is it NDA or what?
Edit: NDA is unclear, so here's an unlisted video of the new Bnet:

Haha the guy asked "Does anyone here have a life?" Meanwhile he probably goes back to watching TV on the couch...
... *oh old people* and their preconceived hatred of video-games...!

?? Under America/Canada driving, the left lane is the fast lane... and I was mentioning that people go slow in it. Did you misunderstand me?
