What's the point of the checkpoint and the traffic light? The rail seems to defeat the purpose of them.

You said we cant Remove any of the terrain thats already their. But can we Modify it in anway, such as Widen/ shorten the river? increase the size of the cliffs?

    Quote from Mozared: Go

The only catch is that you can't modify any of the terrain already in place - so no removing the cliffs, river, or path I laid down.

From what he says, I've assumed that we can't use the Terrain Platelet for height or cliffs.

Oh wow, I forgot to hit UPDATE before I left for school.

Great, now to remember how to remove the shorelines… Another thing is the water is too calm for it to have such forceful waves.

Are we still allowed to remove the shoreline waves from the water? It gets pretty annoying having it clip through everything.

I am the best strategist ever. Also, Hydras aren't really much cannon fodder, if I wanted to use cannon fodders I would have used Immortals.

OMG.. Im not giving blizzard my maps for a contest, they get all rights to it. Your only encouraging their money-hog attitude. But I guess they own them all anyway.

If you had read the EULA terms which you agreed to, Blizzard owns all and every map made for WC3 and SC2, not too sure about the others, but it's very likely. Oh yeah, any way for me to join in on this?

I'm not going to be able to finish, need more shorter doodads that are also bulky, I was going for a sea-life based map with one of those 'Sharks' as a king, in the modified Clock map, that's pretty much what I was trying to recreate, but with coral.

Diablo is located in the bottom center of The Devil's Playground, Tauren Marine is in two missions, Zero Hour, at the top center, and in Castanar, in the room with the Brutalisk, top left in a biocell, forget what they're called. When did the Murloc Marine get the nick Grunty? Will post pictures if I would even bother with doing so. Carbonite Marine is a reference to Han Solo being's state in carbonite himself.

I really wanted it to be a mining colony that has found a mysterious Xel'naga ruin housing more/new hybrids, or something off of the book series on how the Dark Voice was released. What do you mean about the textures, the terrain? I really have no idea what you mean by that .Oh yeah, sorry for the missing context in the first post, I was getting instructions on how to make a night from Dark.Revenant back from WC3.

I like the end result most of what I've seen, Crizpy. The lightning is just right there and even though it's a tad chaotic, it works.

Anyway, I finished my terrain, finally. Took me quite some work, but I'm not too happy with it, it's a bit bland and I could've improved a lot of things if I could've been arsed with taking more time.

I found it rather hard to get good camera angles, so I uploaded the map as well, for those who want to take a closer look. Here it goes...

Edit: I should probably mention; thanks to Corbo and Slightlyrandom for helping me along with my questions. Also, pic 1 and 2 were WIPs, the rest is the result in-game.

Edit 2: I forgot to mention. I ended up with a grand total of 6544 doodads. 967 of those are in the ravine. For comparison, an average 1v1 melee map will have 800 to 1700 doodads.

Tree-doodad spam is pretty bad, could probably lower that by a whole lot if you increased the size of trees to realistic proportions. Cool arch-bridge bro.

Custom torches, improvisation, I'd have to work with lighting more. Back on WC3 I'd only terrain in-game with Narks' SotDRP system, I don't really find much things I can pile together to create something else, SC2 doesn't have enough items for it yet. Fixed dependencies update.
