Both the popularity system and the custom map contest result have negative effect to the morale of the mapmaking community. =/
Yes. I haven't played SC or opened the editor in a couple months and I never got into playing custom maps because of Blizzard's system. As of now, I guess I'm waiting for HotS :P
Vulture micro is equivalent to all the kinds of kiting you can do with many SC2 units like reapers, marauders, hellions. Clearly you didn't watch Idra vs Morrow.
What if I find that perfect relaxing fun map that I want to play 20 pages down, but it requires four players? If no one else goes down that far I will never be able to play it, I will leave, and it will not get popular. Have you ever tried Nexus wars by yourself?
Exactly. The problem with the current system is if your map isn't popular, it's impossible to get even one person to join. It wouldn't be so bad if there were actually channels where you could gather your friends and friends of friends to play with you, but bnet 2.0 doesn't even have that. Bnet 2.0 sucks all over.
Wiping out the popularity list only to have the same maps at the top of the list shows nothing. All it shows is that the popularity system sucks even more and once bad maps become popular, people will continue to play them even after the popularity list has been cleared.
For example, Red Circle TD becomes popular, everyone plays it. When the list gets cleared, people aren't going to suddenly forget it exists and stop playing it. They're going to keep playing it at the same rate, which makes it popular on the list again.
There should be tags like Data, Triggers, Terrain, and other categories that topics can be marked with so people can see what kind of question is being asked.
Does anyone know in detail how player groups work, like what kind of data structure they are? I wanna know what happens if I remove a player at index 1.

Does sc2mapster use GoDaddy? If so, then it should move!

i hate it because it's garbage compared to HoN. It's even worse than LoL.

A micro'd army does better than an unmicro'd one.
What you call "micro" in SCBW is really "hurr i have spam apm cuz of the shitty ui"

If you're watching shoutcasts and that's the conclusion you're coming to then you aren't watching the right ones. Micro is very important in SC2.

I hope it is SC themed as well. I'm glad you're copying the dota mechanics too. I think this has more potential than SotIS.

depends on the map. a six hour test of survival map can be just as fun as a 5 minute game of dodgeball.

I've released the maps publics. You can find them by searching for Dodgeball, Wall Ball, or SCV
