    nope. I made my own version, it got really popular and that is it

    I am tired of people saying I took a ton of credit for it. Desert Strike vQueen. "vQueen" means Queen version or my version. Desert Strike was made by someone by someone by someone. Fortunately I know the original creator who made the map years ago and asked himself to have the map.

    All versions i make have a tribute and credit to past editors.

    Honestly, ppl just remember my unique name. I didn't make the map to try to get credit. Maybe it seems like that because the map i edit was good?

    posted a message on Starcraft: Broodwar Campaign on sc2

    I would like to discuss and brainstorm ideas on loosely recreating the starcraft 1 game campaign levels on sc2. Maybe people who have already started on recreating sc1 levels can collaborate?

    Each level will have new story and challenges and achievements but still tie into the SC canon. For example, the 1st level, Boot camp will be a large military base that introduces a few units while teaching the player how to build a small base. (Compared to the original level where it asks you just to train some marines)

    My plan is to share the same story but have the gameplay DRASTICALLY changed. Another example is when edmund duke crashes on tarsonis level, players this time around will have to survive for 30 mins using only a handful of units. Once raynor arrives with the calvary, Edmunds forces (you) must take the high ground and protect the transport through the canyon. (you don't control raynor this time)

    What we need is Dedicated servers!

    I hate hosting a custom game and not have ANYONE join. I hate having to play only the top 10 custom maps because those are only the ones that people will goto the lobby.

    1 1/2 year ago I made a Broodwar map that was a tribute to SC2. I basically renamed the heroes units as sc2 units and used the twilight terrain. When researching infestor, I found this video at the old Starcraft 2 official site:

    Inspired by the video, I decided to let the zerg have a hero reaver that produced infested terrans every few seconds. Coincidentally, that is what the finish infestor is today; It looks like a oversized caterpillar (reaver) and shoots out inf-terrans (not from buildings ne more). Imagine That

    Hive is STILL the greatest war3 map mod community, not was.

    • Sigh* those will stick to classic games well after SC2 comes out and not challenge themselves to use modern mapping tools like Galaxy Editor.
      For example, staredit community is too busy creating intensive, unnecessary, long ass, trigger systems just to make a unit intake X amount of damge lol...
