As you startup Starcraft II, you'll notice many new changes. In this world, we do not have to login online to play. Players are allowed to play tutorial, campaign or even skirmish/custom maps with computer. Multiplayer now includes both New Battle.net and.... LAN! That is right, SC2 will support LAN games. Another feature will be the joint support of Steam gamers and also Regional unlock. You may play against a player outside your region =)
When you load up New Battle.net system, many new changes will be implemented. First, Chat Room/Channels will come back. Once again, you may now idle away or rage up a storm. Clans/guilds will come back. Rule #1, never talk about the new channels. Each Clan will be allowed 1 bot for chat nerds to play around with; they will be able to ban someone from a channel, autogreet a user or even host a match. Another new change will be the Battle.net forum. Players can participate and read forum posts right inside battle.net without having to open a fail web browser. Each and every window you see will be moveable and resizable.
In the new Gamelist, there will be THREE ways of choosing how to setup your game displays. There is Created, SectionList and Top100 (popularity system).
In the Created section, players are now able to host (be dedicated/listen) games. That means that a player can start up custom/melee map and other players can see instantaneously what map you hosted. This way, there will be a mix of games being shown. Also, players hosting a map can input a quick Game Name to specify/advertise other players in joining the game. Game Name will also allow hosts to specifiy his or her game rules. In the 1st picture you will see that the Created section has a game name 1v1 phantom join now!. The host wants to play a 1v1 match phantom mode. WAIT A MINUTE... how can u play a phantom mode match 1v1? lol... Exactly, players can come up with ridiculous game modes WITHIN the map itself. Players who are hosting can dictate how many players are playing and what kind side rules will be followed. No more waiting for full house to start the game. Since Nexus wars is a popular map, you will see that being hosted more frequently. That may be something you don't want filling up your list.
You also have the choice to setup your game display as SectionList. Instead of seeing individual maps being hosted, each and every same publish map will be collapse under one name. Here you can get a big overall look of what DIFFERENT maps are being hosted, instead of different player hosts. When you instantaneously click on SectionList, the list will begin to fill up with many different maps that are being hosted. If a player is hosting another Desert Strike, the #lobby will increase INSTEAD of having another line added on.
Top100 aka Popularity list is the old system that everyone was forced play their custom games in. Here, you will now see a big error instead.

If we're going to provide extra efforts in helping others learn how to create sc2 maps, I suggest creating the Tutor/Mentor system instead of this...
This is not educational at all; it is basically encouraging others to disregard Terms of Agreement. We must respect ones wish for credibility. Fortunately some of us in this thread still have good morals.
Heres a funny situation - Sixen, you have a bank account. You shouldn't put money in that bank account because it is out there and people will steal money from it anyway. Credit Card,PIN number? Who cares right? Lets take it for others to learn about money lol.
Education is an irrational excuse for this. Education and plagiarism doesn't mix. A better way to teach others how to map make is to show them that we don't even need to unlock maps, you can simply follow the many tutorials we have in out forums, ask a question in our IRC or play around with the editor.
Does anyone follow the digg vs reddit war? When my friend explained it to me and how passion hes is, I started loling and shook my head with embarrassment
Digg is a news source site that archives latest current events and articles. Then a another site called Reddit.com shows up and now followers of that website talks crap about Digg and how they get their news hours earlier.
Its just a WEBSITE. Can you be any NERDY?? gawd...
why is it guys cannot come up with good names lol, always resulting to something vulgar like kick ass (<3 u programmer)
Try these when brainstorming names for a team force(no particular order):
1. Use a synonym of the word 'force' in the teams name. I took the liberty of thesaursing the word force and came up with these words - armed force, artillery, battalion, battery, brigade, cavalry, column, command, company, corps, detail, division, horde, flight, flock, formation, infantry, legion, outfit, patrol unit, platoon, regiment, soldiers, soldiery, squad, troops, wing.
3. Combine force and phonetic alphabet words. Here are examples: Charlie Company, Bravo Brigade, Delta Division Echo Wing, Foxtrot Legion
4. For more fantasy, use WoW or Mythology names - Azeroth, Stormwind, Ironforge, Silvermoon. Zeus, Medusa, Anubis, Ra, Loki.
5. Use name-item sequences. Here is the format - [name]'s [noun]. Here are some examples - Yao's Strength, Twinmold's Might, Mozard's Hammer, Queen's Shield.
6. Use adjective-animal sequence, (think of native names). Here are some examples - Flying Eagle, Running Bear, Sitting Turtle.
7. Use the force-of-noun sequence. Here are some examples - Calvary of Shiva, Platoon of Dragoon, Flight of Bahamut.
8. Use Oxymorons - Hells Angels, Pyro Water, Bloody Healers.
10. For more basic miltary chic names use numbers - Task Force 141, 501st Legion, 666.
In my War of Fantasia http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/war-fantasia/ map (which i desperately need help in) I have created Team names of 40 nations. These steps helped me find a sold pattern in team naming. Here are some of the names i've made (thats featured in my map) -
