Can we use turret for ability too?? I want to make the building turn the turret part to targets when casting.But it always turns the whole one or doesn't turn.
I'm making a tower(contain turret point), it attack normally. But when casting ability, i stayed still, not turning any millimeter. So i need some advice for this.
Go Actor > Your unit > Event > Add event > msg type change to "unit birth"(or anything u want)
Action: msg type change to "set tint color" > pick a color > okay.
"blend duration" define how fast the unit will change color.
U can use tint local to make an useful "color combine"
One more thing: The effect happen only from channel phase, u cannot make it happen during prepare or cast phases.
I'm trying to make another void prison, which capture the unit into an orb during prepare phase, lift in on during cast phase, changing the color of the orb to red and decreasing the size in channel phase and finnaly BOOM. But because of the above, i cannot make a model actor which attach to the target during prepare/cast phase.
So, i think using timer set maybe better than using this.
I'm sure u miss something: U forgot too match the behaviors with the apply behavior effects(I think u want to create the effects and the behaviors with same names, so they will match themselves. But there are 2 model swap behaviors, but only 1 model swap effect).
And with the model swap effect, u forgot to change target unit for the effect to caster.
If the medic model have 1/some attachment point at its hand, u can attach it with a gun/smth like gun.(i think it have cause the heal beam shoot out from hand)
As u can see in the image. This is a map me and my team make since beta period. And now we try to update it to next version.
Everything in editor are fine, no problem at all. But when we test, it turn into that.

Did u add weapon to unit??Or check the command card if attack button is set to attack ability.

@ProzaicMuze: Can u explain how to make a same beam like in this video(around 0:50). I think he use trigger, but i wonder if we can use data to make.

Very useful tutorial. I have noticed the switch effect before, but never think it can be used like that.
