I'm not looking for professionals, but I'd like to put some kind of voice acting in my map and I don't have a very wide range of voices. The voices I need to fill are: Stetmann, Raynor, Horner, Kerrigan. The cutscenes in my game aren't very long so there's not much dialog.
I know I probably won't get any/many voice actors here but it's worth a shot :P
If you're getting errors then you're doing something wrong. This still works exactly the same as it did when it was posted.
The tutorial is very straight forward. I just tested this on a completely new map and set it up according to my own tutorial in under 3 minutes without any problems.
No need to reinvent the wheel. You were aiming to perfect a circle and what you seemed to have come up with is an octagon. The only culprit behind lag in a good WASD system is the "Key Pressed" event, which you still use.
The units you mentioned use a morph. Basically make a duplicate unit with a height of 0 and make 2 morph abilities - 1 to morph to height 0 and 1 to morph back.
I contacted NiN about this 4 days ago but haven't gotten a reply yet, and I'm kind of on a deadline so I was hoping someone else might have a solution.
For some reason I'm getting the following error when attempting to export my model. I took the tauren marine m3 and imported it to 3DS Max. I didn't have the texture files in my 3DS maps yet so I added them manually as a material. I used the Starcraft II Bitmap type to link in all 4 maps: Diffuse, Normal, Emissive and Specular. The error refers to Diffuse (But could be present in all of them, I'm not sure, as Diffuse is the first one it checks.)
Make sure it's by 'rrowland' otherwise they might have changed the order around. If not you can just type in 'rrowland' and my only poster will come up.
lol in your vid you say to go buy CT if you haven't played it before.
I just want to mention that buying CT will probably run you in the high hundreds of dollars to a thousand. Since you know... they don't make the game anymore (and you have to get it off ebay).
The inspiration for the environment (2D/3D) definitely comes from Ragnarok Online for me. The individual sprite design will hopefully be inspired by Chrono Trigger, which was my favorite sprite game in terms of graphics. The plotline and character advancement systems will be unique but will draw from what I feel are the strong points in Chrono Trigger and the Final Fantasy series, among other great single player RPGs.
Just wanted to show off the Sprite engine/library I've been working on. I plan on turning it into a full single player RPG, with a quality and gameplay similar to Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. It's a long way off. :P
If you're interested in any part of the process feel free to contact me about your skills and interests.

What a strange tutorial.

I'd have to say this game is way too easy. I've beaten it multiple ways. Only crawlers, only lurkers, only buying mass mutas...

You need to change the library ID to 'WASD'. The specifics are right there in the tutorial.

You should take a look at my WASD Library & Short Tutorial, which are 3 months old now (And still great): http://forums.sc2mapster.com/development/tutorials/2342-tutorial-8-way-wasd-movement/

Have you encountered this before? Any ideas?
