Will we get some decent water pathing support? Until now, it hasn't been possible without the use of air pathing but, it sucks so much it isn't even funny. I'd propose that Blizzard should implement a third type of air pathing with a similar pathing to ground.
People arguing about its name should be banned from this site on the spot by derailing the entire thread even though the OP clearly doesn't intend to change the name.
Any project should be able to be named as they please, be it DOTA, Dungeon Keeper or even StarCraft II.
The reason why lots of popular maps remain on the top list is because they are on the TOP list. That is sadly the very nature of the current distribution method, which is to encourage people to play the current-popular maps. That's simply a fact., unless you include some of the popular AoS genres which have huge PR behind them.
So, once things reset, those maps that get played initially will become the dominant popular maps. In essence, your map isn't bad, it's the nature of the distribution method Blizzard implemented AKA Pop-Sys's fault.
IF it's true. IF. I don't really think so. I don't see any reason why imported script wouldn't count towards the limit.
Probably it doesn't get registered by the editor if it doesn't parse imported files. I'm fairly certain that, even if you can circumvent the map editor error message that way, the game will still crash on your once you're out of memory.
Yeah, I've been wondering about that myself. However, it would be nice to get a confirmation on if the memory limit is just an editor limit or a game limit.
Hm, does that mean it is possible to use almost unlimited amount of memory by just importing script that generate variables?
Vermore, the most reasonable answer to that question is that no one has officially revealed that solution to the public. Even if that was the case, the editor doesn't support it in a manner that would make users want to use it, we'll have to use third party applications in order to get this to work.
If only someone could create a better editor for us to use. Somewhat like how NewGen was to the official World Editor.
Since I do not know if this actually is the case, I'm hoping you won't treat this like the Activision>Blizzard matter and blame Curse for stuff until it's a fact.
I was just merely questioning this site's operator Curse. So far Curse hasn't done anything to improve the site other than changing its skin.
Yep, necro posting tends to happen. Nothing we can do to prevent it.
We have a lot of things we'd like to add to these forums, but the problem is that we lack support from curse (who I would think prioritises other websites they have over mapster (Don't quote me on this, and do not count this as an official statement, I don't work for curse so I don't know :P)) to do it, the admins have other projects they work on for the moment.
We are well aware of features you would like to see, and I apologize that some of the ones most needed haven't been put into action.
However, please refrain from posting about things that have been posted about multiple times before. We do listen to your suggestions/feedback.
And as TheAlmighty linked you, we do have a separate thread about suggestions here.
Edit: Also, I just noticed that you necro'd a thread from like 5 months ago, and made me think it was a new topic. Bad! Don't do that.
This seriously community issue that needs solving so necro posting in this thread is alright in my opinion.
I'm not so keen about curse actually owning this site if what you said is indeed the case.
Simply using the Hiveworkshop forum settings will solve all of these problems. It's an awesome feature set mapping community forum and it works really well.

Hm, perhaps by using while loops to modify the user interface across a period of time. That should do it.

That is, if your school allows the usage of laptops during class ofc. :)
What you buy, in the end, really depend on how the school is structured.

If you're serious about school, buy a gaming desktop and a decent sized screen laptop for work, and use dropbox to syncronize the files.
It will benefit you greatly in the long run.

@Reaper872: Go
I can easily compare this to the SC1 Brood War intro. This could work very well as a defends map against the Zerg. Do it.

We can blame the pop sys for that. No author actually gets credit nor any incentive to continue mapping since the maps aren't distributed properly.

Small pockets of in the walls containing neutral units. These were common in the Dungeon Keeper 2 campaigns.
