heres a working tank copy: (when you duplicate the unit the only things you need to check are going to most likely be the actor) then when you make the actor select it and on the right up at the top is a Token called unitName set that to the new tanks name, then go down to the model under fields and set it to siege tank. That should make a perfectly working siege tank.
These suffer from not having a morph to tank mode animation idk what im doing wrong there but oh well...
notice the difference between the tanks only the actors and the morph is green because are the only things i changed. and pay close attention to the Actors specifically the events+ field, the model field, and the UnitName Token.
ok there so that function "make actor face angle"; did you make the actor "Look at target from unit attach point"; and then the attach point "Turret" ; and unit your "hellion" unit; then angle your "camera direction" ?
oh i see your using an instant effect. What you need is a target effect. See what you need to do is make the ability call a search that targets everyone nearby then you give everyone in the search an issue order command. Then using the triggers when that issue order effect is called you tell them to attack move to the region.
sorry to do work for you but i got bored and decided to show you what i mean. I ran into a problem where when casting the DS and the kill command the DS animation would stop so i gave the dummy a suicide behavior that cast kill after the DS animation finished.
i dont get it whats the problem? you have two different ways to select the zergling or what? does he show up twice when you mouse over him? or is it just that you can click on the zergs glowy outline and select him?
Yes make another effect. go to the effects tab and hit add object and under effect type find set. With that set make it have 2 effects, the darkswarm issued order and the kill effect. for the aoe splats my version doesn't even have any of those so i don't know what your doing there. check the zerg aoe splat model and see what its doing. It looks like its putting a splat on him when hes in range of the ability.
I want to have an ability autocast and i want it to be on the command card with a tooltip but i dont want the user to be able to cast it, i tried giving it the no decleration flag but that didn't seem to work.
You probably want to make a trigger that whenever the ability is called it also makes its own countdown timer local variable. then have that take the timer and use some math to get the time left and display it.

it looks like your actors are messed up, you need to go to your hydralisk copy actor and change the events for when he plays his attack animation it looks like hes playing it whenever you cast dark swarm or something. so go to events+ and then find abil.darkswarm and change the sub name to target finish or something so that it only plays when he throws down the swarm(It probably got messed up when you switched around the darkswarm abilities).
as for the aoe splat i think your not targeting the correct areas for the splat when either khald or the dummy casts darkswarm.

AGH! nothing works, i guess ill just make it invisible and then add a tooltip to the unit saying what it does.

ive tried raising and lowering all the subgroup priorities and the glossary priority but they dont seem to have any affect.

There is no trigger to add abilities to units, however there is a trigger to add behaviors to units, and then behaviors can give units abilities.

is it auto casting?
there is a field called (None) - Acquire Attackers at the very top of the abilitie's fields if you have all the sorts on. Enable it.
