Just because blizzard wipes out the popularity list doesn't mean they wipe out GAMES BEING PLAYED WHEN THEY WIPE IT OUT, right?
So therefore, all the games currently in progress will reapply a 'popularity point' upon completion, hence why the list rebuilds itself to look basically the same in the same order.
I have to say though, I just published my map two days ago and I'm sitting pretty on page one, so I'm really happy, but I still acknowledge there are serious faults in the system.
I may be a bit pompous, but perhaps like khazr said

DAM is around 2500 last I checked. It's hard to fathom that number sometimes, when I spend 6 hrs promoting the game, and I only play maybe 8 games in that entire 6 hours.
Infantry patch is live!
Introducing two heroes for the infantry commander, Tychus and Raynor. Tychus is equivalent to a Maser, and Raynor has a 20 radius passive aura that boosts allies attack damage by 50%!
Various monster tweaks and difficulty tweaks.
Game should also be shorter, normal mode ends after 17 kills and hard ends after 24 kills.
Leave feedback and suggestions, and have fun!
Coming soon:
A true 'hero' for the Armor commander and the Air commander.
More monsters!
Your work is awesome, and this latest map is too. But honestly, I watch that, and I think to myself... the average player on bnet cannot possibly understand the mechanics of that game. Sorry, but your maps require too much brainpower to apply to the mindless masses.
It was too noob unfriendly in BETA. It completely punished new players, and thus was relatively unpopular, no one would want to play again after being crushed in 60 seconds flat.
It is slightly too easy though, I agree, we're working on changing that so it's not laughably easy. However, did you try double hard mode?
Garrisoned units are supposed to die to certain monster AOE. It is totally intended!
