    I've been working on an RPG that I intend on being like this but I have not had much time in the past year cause of college so even the first map's terrain (256x256) is not finished. How I wanted to use it is create islands/continents linked with loading screens along with caves/dungeons that you can enter in a similar way. Maybe you can figure out some other interesting things that you could do with this.

    Map change trigger doesn't work on multiplayer atm, and cliffs are not editable while running the game either (think Blizz mentioned they won't change that unless it's really needed).

    I get like 1-5 of such emails a day and it's annoying but I just keep marking them as phising mails every time .. one day they might disappear.

    It could also be a word/sentance scramble where the letters make out something else aswell that does spell proper words.. like you have oyu lahb which could be reformed to blah you.. I know it doesn't make sense in the example but hey, it could be! Or it is just fail-speak for one more day I swear. And in case it does say one more day then it's an april's fools joke which then means we still don't know anything .

    Maybe we could have a unit (each person that worked on it) or something that will appear at random in waves or between waves that will have the name of the contributer as kind of an easter egg, which can't be killed and doesn't make you lose lives or anything. Could also be in another way but I just like easter eggs in games and people having their own unit would be fun and you'd see who did something to the map even if its small.

    @ mighty some good ideas that gave me more ideas.. I'll add them later.

    Data editor... I can make my triggers to work the way I want, use a tutorial if needed, I can terrain just fine myself already.. this data editor is just a pain in the ass and has been ever since I opened the beta editor. I just don't even want to try anymore, it just takes so long for me to get things done.

    In the data editor you can find 'Terrain Deformation' objects which basically allow you to make squares or circles of height changes by placing those doodads which allows for random heights though I believe you cannot adjust cliffs ingame (as said by blizzard anyway) perhaps you could make a cliff illusion but that would be pretty complicated, you'd need to make a doodad that could work as a cliff, have terrain deformations placed in such a way it actually looks like a cliff when you put the doodad next to it and also place pathing blockers (could be dummy units) to prevent units going over the cliffs on the ground. The real cliffs ingame are also illusions but integrated into the game system (just hide cliffs and you'll see the terrain is just heightened like you could do normally aswell).

    I think you should be able to find a terrain deformation tutorial somewhere here, I used one a long time ago. Try the search function.

    I added a tiny bit of no-building underneath 2 large doodads but that's it, I didn't put any on the path or so as I figured that'd be done later, and nev just confirmed:)
