    This game is still in its Infancy. Its continued success will be based on new content and updates.

    Will there be other tech routes you can take? Take a defensive tech instead of an offenseive Tech.

    Maybe a 3rd base for 4v4v4 matches.. who knows. only time will tell

    And Nexus Wars IS a piece of shit map. The only reason it is played so fucking much is becasue its the only map that has actual people who join it. And they join it because it at the top of the list. Its a vicious loop, that self perpetuates because the system is fucked.

    The only reason it is polished is because its so fucking simple. A building that spawns units. Wow. The most powerful editor ever released and this is the bullshit we get stuck having to play.

    Fuck Nexus Wars and all the other Tug games shoved down our throats.

    I'd rather Tug my johnson.

    i believe the support is there. Like Real ID, I believe there is enough angry people to send a message to hasten its demise. Together enough people can make it a Priority. Banned for 'playing poorly' in a custom game?. lol uh no. Been doin it for several months now. We are free to play how we want in any game.

    And like Real ID there are always people like you who argue otherwise. Nothing new.

    you wont be screwing over anyone. trust me, they have tons of Nexus games they can get into without trolls

    Well gentlemen,

    We have given Blizzard more than enough time and feedback to end the worst custom hosting system ever.

    Since Blizzard has decided what maps will be popular, instead of the players, and have also made it impossible for new maps to rise or even have a slight chance of getting 1 player to join your game during development Phase, I am starting a 1 man troll crusade (hoping for more people to join) to send a clear message to Blizzard that this custom game system has to end.

    Welcome to Nexus Trolls.

    I am looking for a broad base of support from people who will take time out of thier day to Troll at a minimum of 7 Nexus Wars, or any FRONT page Tug game.

    We will not use bad language or attack other players. yet simply argue that the popularity system must be changed, press your case then leave the game or sit idle.

    If enough people get involved and stay focused on the mission at hand, spreading our message, we will have a resonable boycott that can finally send a clear message that the custom map community has had enough.

    Will you support Nexus Trolls?

    I have read all your post and as a Blizzard fan since the Warcraft 1 days, like 14 fucking years ago when I started playing in middle school,( i am 30 now) I agree with you Completely

    You are one of the handful of people left who truely understand what made Warcraft Custom gaming so great. From its diversity, to the isolated occurances of beastiality, that brought not only good gameplay, but reasonable humor.

    That greatness has now all been lost at the expense of control and greed.

    I have been with this game, this company from day 1 and man have they fucked it up.

    What angers me most is that a site like this with such a large following actually has the power to motivate Blizzard to change this.

    But we do nothing.

    Instead we continue to Glorify this broken system by participating in it.

    To look at this issue again, I think I have a real solution for this but need help with how to set the validator.

    Consider a marine on both sides of a cliff as in the picture.

    Before the marine can fire,the mathematical question (argument) that needs to be asked is this:

    Is the PATHABLE distance between the 2 units LESS THAN OR EQUAL to the POINT TO POINT distance between them.

    Imagine 2 marines with nothing between them. In this case the PATHABLE distance will be EQUAL to the POINT TO POINT distance.

    Now anytime anything, doodads, units, or structures (anything with a footprint) moves into the line of site (POINT TO POINT) distance between the 2 marines,the PATHABLE distance will become LARGER and the POINT TO POINT DISTANCE will remain the same.

    There is a Function in the trigger editor called PATHING COST BETWEEN POINTS that will return the PATHABLE Distance between 2 points, and you can use the Distance between 2 points to get the Line of Site distance.

    Hope this makes sense.
