Can i use custom animation names in 3DS max/editor?
If you look at the drop down list under your actor animation properties, you have to choose from names like A,B,C,D, Eat,Stand,Attack,Cloak, Variation 01,02,03 ect ect ect......
I think that flipping my card over is kind of the same as a supply depot being raised or lowered. Blizzard for some reason makes a supply depot raised and lowered two seperate units with difference actors.... dunno
i will try that. but after i Flip the card over, how do i know when the animation is finished so I can start the Flipped over Stand animation you want me to add?
If the new Flipped Stand animation doesnt play immediatley after i flip it over, the Unflipped stand animation will probably attempt to play for a split second, and cause some sorta of flicker before the new stand animation starts.
Photo, to answer your question, my card goes back to its unflipped state very quickly, but not instantaneously.
It rotates to an unflipped state, but in like 1/10th of a second.
i completely redid it from scratch and still same problem... i zoomed in in the editor so that i could not see the edges but just the center
and i can see that it is actually increasing in size. i cant explain it.
i increased my edges to 200 and set the pivot
i cant even make a simple cylinder rotate properly.
im going to kill myself now thanks
and my addicitions only fuel my curiosity for projects that i have already concluded i simply do not have the time for, yet still find myself in pursuit.
interesting... i will make the changes and see how it works....
whats strange thought is that it onlt seems to pulsate throught a certain span of its rotation.. it is smooth for like the 1st 130 degrees or so
how did you like my queen of hearts btw lol i thought it came out quite realistic
oh ya and how did you get back to the part wherer i can view the height segments whatnot for the polygon

Are you serious... I cant even visit sc2mapster without my speakers getting blasted about some Toshiba laptop ad.
Then you have to scroll down to find the fucking ad to stop it.
Seriously it needs to go, before we do.

OK I got it to work but I have one problem.
After my card flips over, it flips BACK over, returning to its stand animation.

I have created a card. Queen of Hearts to be specific. I have created an animation that flips the card over.
I want this card to flip over when i use an ability called Flip Over...... What ability type should I use to make this happen?

no, for some reason it appears to spin very slow in 3ds. therer should be 10,000 frames and 1 full rotation
i think thats ok though. sc2 plays back animations at like 1000 FPS
this map contains the unit (along with my playing cards lol)
