    Sorry I ask weird questions. :P

    1. How do you make make an area around enemy buildings unbuildable? Once your enemy places a building you can not place one withing a radius of 5 from it.

    Because there aren't many questions:

    2. With the above created, how do you create an ability that allows a unit to temporarily build within the unbuildable region around the enemy buildings.

    I don't know if this is best solved with triggers but I put it here because I have no idea.

    I have mutalisks on my map that only attack civilians. I achieved this by simply creating a revealer for the computer and upping the scan radius and chase distance to 500.

    However mutalisk tend to clump up. Two mutalisks will eventually attack the same civilian and it is overwhelmingly likely that the closest target for each muta will be the same civilian. This snow balls until all the mutas are attacking together in a group. How could I make them act as though they don't like getting close to each other.

    I watched the Day9 and TotalBuscuit streams on Tues. and it looked fun, but I have enough games for now so if I do buy the game it will be a while. From what I saw it seems to have a problem with the game being too easy if you do a lot of side quests, the UI sucks balls and the attachement to NPCs is very very weak. On the other hand the combat is great.

    Ok, but how do I put it on the range attack. I can't find anything on the weapon. I looked on the effect and found some validator stuff on there, but I don't know which and how to set it up. I literally, do not know anything about validators. Zero.

    posted a message on Occupy Starcraft: Is it time for an anti custom map hosting movement?

    What we really need to do is get the SC2 mapster youtube channel going with some big names. If we had Day9, TotalBuscuit, HuskySC and a few others post a review of new maps once a week per person, it would help the community out a lot. I think an idea that would be more doable for them, because I know their all very busy is if we have someone from SC2mapster record the audio and video of the game. The only thing the big name would have to do is play the game and commentate over skype. They wouldn't have to edit or anything. I think some of them would be willing to play a custom map once a week for 40 mins and then have them tweet it when the video is uploaded.

    How do you make the plasma shield act as another form of energy? Take away it's ability to soak up damage and have it used as a resource for skills.

    Also, validators...are confusing. How do I make one that requires a unit to be moving in order to attack?

    I'm making a hydra that attacks with it's range while moving and prefers to attack with the melee attack, even if reaching the target forces them to temporarily leave range attack range.

    I have the attack while moving down, but the hydra will stop moving while it is in range for it's range attack.
