I sould like to have a unit that have a weapon that can be fired once, when used, the unit dissapears immediatly.
what is the best way of doing that ? I through about adding an effect to the weapon so it hit at caster point for a lot but i don't want any effect to play at unit location nor do i want the unit death effect in that situation.
I also tried to play with the actor event and did a weapon start > destroy , the unit dissapears but i still have it selected and it keep fiering the weapon... bug or feature ?

Where is located the field for the impact VISUAL FX??????
I've added nuke damage to my set and it worked, huge nuke. but then i tryed to look at the nuke effect piece by piece and never found where it reference the model.
Just a guess, maybe you should check the default events already using "Unitbirth". They top every other events.
yea that what i did and it was Stand, i selected walk instead and the pose of the unit changed to a walking pose but it's not animated, it's staying at the first frame.
In the actor, i tried to change the event unitbirth - animation bracket but it only stays on the first frame. Animplay won't work too, it crashes the game :/
Anyone can help me on this ? i would like to apply a force to a unit and make it run toward the ennemy , jump and explode like a grenade. How can i do that?
I am creating an ennemy unit and i would like it to run toward the player, jump and explode.
The explode part am pretty sure i can figure it out but the jumping one.... I've messed around with the reaper abilities, and i made a weapon, that is linked to an effect, this effect apply a behavior that got a mover. I played around with the setting but the only result is the unit running to a target and doing nothing.
Anyone managed to get a nice jumping weapon ? or anyone can help me make one ?
For some reason, in my map, if i create a new unit in the data editor, and then an actor, when i try to link the unitname in the token window of the actor i can't see it. In fact, i cannot see any unit that i created when trying to link thing together.
I tried many unit creation tutorials to make sure i was doing it correctly and i am so i tried something else...
I did the complete hero tutorial and, again, i cannot see the item classes i created when tring to link it in the item container.
All these things works on an empty map with 0 modifications so I suspected the dependencies (my map have Melee and campaign dependencies) so i reordered them putting melee on top and it worked.... and crashed.
Anyone can explain me how am i supposed to create a new unit using stuff from the campaign without having to change dependencies order ?
(reordering doesn't works each times so it's not much of a solution)
You need a camera for the scene, cam export are the default one for blizzard, which animate. Add a stationary camera, name it then call it in the trigger. We currently cant animate camera atm
Adding a camera through a trigger in the map or in the previewer ? I have game, userview and a camera that added itself when i added a skybox. I've looked at the hotkeys and couldn't find create camera.
also , can we attach a camera to something ? if so we could make a transparent model and attach the camera to it and move the actor.
Are you planning a tutorial for creating a new scene from scratch ?
I've been messing around with the previewer and made a nice scene that supposed to appears for 5 second at the beginning of the map, thank to you guys :)
.Well I "should" be able to run it, but it's not working.
Only cinematic mode seems to engage and disengage, so here is some questions that i would like answered, if possible.
-What are the scene path relative to ? i guess the folders in the MPQ, but if my files are not in a mpq ? should i just replicate the MPQ hiereachy ?
-Is "cam_export" a a .sc2camera file exported from the previewer ? I tryed that but once again it could not be working simply because of my paths.
Also if you ever figure out how to animate a camera let us know ASAP :D
