I'm uploading a replay of myself vs the AI on hard as zerg.
Unfortunately, it seems about half to 3/4 of the way through it develops problems and spams errors. :(
Great stuff. I use this on a daily basis (well, it's predecessor) and develop some truly massive stuff.
I can't tell you how much intellisense helps for little hints as opposed to keeping the API open at all times.
I have an NA and EU account, for exactly this purpose. :)
I also took a look at the code since I'm a Galaxy guy and couldn't resist.
I have to say, MTops did a nice job. This is no hack to the existing AI. It looks like a completely new beast, and it really shows in-game.
I played as zerg and protoss against the EagleAI on medium difficulty. Overall, I was very impressed. I started on medium because I know I can roflstomp Blizzard's medium AI without much effort at all, not very medium at all.
So I start my build out fairly simple, not expecting many problems, but in both games, the AI managed to catch me off guard with it's initial attack and do a lot of damage. The AI challenged me to recover, and rebuild. Around mid to late game though I feel like the AI lost it's edge. It had a muta to do some muta harass, but it ended up attacking my Extractor rather than the Probes, or I would've had to react sooner. Ultimately, I won both matches because by mid-game it wasn't as much of a challenge.
I'm not the greatest melee player and it'd been a while, but I saw that the AI was actively trying to counter me and adjust it's strategy. Certainly more than the regular AI would ever do. I loved it. It made me think for once.
Still, I have yet to try it on anything above medium, so I'll report back on that. Overall, I'd say it's a great change, and I'm probably going to end up replacing my map's current AI with EagleAI, when it becomes available. :)
Then why focus on something that involves data at all? It just seems silly. Why does it have to be an ability?
This is Galaxy. There are plenty of awesome hacks you can do to show off for an exercise.
In any case, this challenge is just 100% data, afaic. We should be focusing on things you simply can't do with data.
As someone who uses Galaxy, this screams data to me, and bores me. Throw me a WGE (Weekly Galaxy Exercise) where data isn't allowed, and I think you'll find a lot of fun submissions. You'd be surprised how much of the game world you can change w/o data.
He's not a troll. He PMed me days before this topic was made asking me for a copy of my map because he didn't want to "waste his internet" playing online.

I liked SBier's but the fact that it can only open one file at a time is like stepping back into the past for me. I just can't do it.

This depends.
If the sounds are copyrighted and you do not have permission from the author to use them?
Then yes. You will be in violation of copyright law.

The .galaxy part is optional. It works either way. I prefer to be specific out of habit.

I'm afraid anything like this, without the source code, is just about useless for any serious developer.
If you rely on something, you need to be able to fix it when it breaks and the maintainer is gone.

I'll never understand why people think a bug from SC1 would transfer over to SC2 over a decade later.

The directory and filename of the imported file?
Ex: I import "Blah.galaxy" into "Scripts".
Then
include "Scripts/Blah.galaxy"
all includes are assumed to be from / rather than any relative directory.
