    Alright I got them to build but the ai seems to get confused when it controls more than one race. Plus it seems the terran ai is much better than the other 2 ai's.

    Any ideas on how to get the ai to utilize the other 2 races if they have control of all 3? I even killed off their primary race that they were using and left the other 2 and waited a few minutes and they didnt construct anything for the other 2 left over races.

    Hi guys I am trying to create a custom map where the player uses heroes and doesnt build but goes up against multiple computer opponents who build. I am having trouble getting the computer opponents to do more than mine minerals. I had to remove default melee settings because the game ends if I do that because the players dont construct anything.

    I tried adding a couple of computers with command centers, Gave my player controlled unit a probe. Everything has a start location. Just cant figure out how to get the ai to do its thing and not just mine resources.

    Seems like a simple solution is to make the host need to be a unique ip or game key.

    After spending a couple hours trying to figure it out myself I think I might have what I need. Except my dialog box is still centered in the middle of my screen and the info is just stacked on top of each other. Im going to go back through it pretty soon to see what it is. Whatever the case I appreciate the steps you guided us to so far but theres still those couple of detailed issues.

    Awesome, i'm going to try it out and see how it works. Much more clear to read thx :)~

    Upon doing this trigger, it seems step five is a bit ambiguous in regards to explination. Mostly on the parts of set dialogue text part. I entered it manually and it made a jumbled mess of text in a box. How do you write that algorithm non manually?

    And a Final Note : Could you post an example map of this trigger?

    I like it up to step 7. Once you get to step 8 you assume that the reader knows how to create all that stuff. You should walk through step-by-step each step in doing step 8. Theres like 10 parts to step 8 that you dont explain. Would you please explain it?

    Np, thx for the feedback - This is pretty much just the first phase of the map making. The terrainers will be going over the maps a few times fine tuning them before the player actually gets to be immersed in them.

    That sucks :( I will definately take a look at your map and dont give up. Just because theres a ton of projects out there, claiming to be this or that. The high probability of them failing and not finishing is there. Plus even if they all seem the same, they are not. Think about wc3's rpg database. I pretty much played 90% of the finished ones on wc3, thats hundreds. And each and every one of them were entertaining in their own way. Some had lasting status (Generally the ones where you could save or evolve, in my book) Whatever the case they are all fun and will get played.

    The issue isnt really with the conversion of items its with the players hero trading and then re-loading their hero next time they play with the item in hand again. They would have to not be able to quit without saving right after the trade. Which would remove the duplication feature. and if its for sale in a shop the person recieving the trade would still need to fork up significant resources to acquire the trade.

    One way around trading is to initiate a trade it immediately saves after you finish the trade transaction to the server. That way if the player wants to trade, they are permanently losing that item. No rollbacks. You'd have to set up a trade system though couldnt just drop to the floor. Or you can make the only way to trade is for the player to sell the item to the vendor, in which the vendor then will have the item for sale at its store bought cost. Causing the player to have to have income, which is not tradable to acquire that item the player wants.

    Just a few ideas that are rolling around in my head. I have a third idea in my head but thats going to be adaptation specific and you'll see it if we decide to use it :)

    Not to step on any feet but u might want to look at the other posts in this area of the forum (I am not going to link anything because you seem like a big boy). Mine is not the only incomplete project here. But I do see the error in my ways. You are more than welcome to move it to that forum and I apoligise for not seeing that thread.
