I've had my own fair share of disconnects the last days. We've had to start 2-3 times before no one dropped.
Interestingly this hasn't happened at all to custom melee maps I've played.
if i remember correctly galaxy can take struct as parameters so maybe it can return them too
Unfortunately now. In Sc2 it's impossible to return a record.
There are two ways:
1) Use Global Variables. Your function sets these variables to some value, and the caller can then read the variables and use them.
2) Same as above, but instead of Global Variables you use one Global Record in which you store all variables.
The multiplayer just sucks, especially in comparison to their hype and the original Starcraft and Warcraft III. The Editor is hardly considered an addon; without it they probably wouldn't have made half their sales. And you can compare it to UDK all you want; do you think Blizzard isn't going to charge similar royalties for their Marketplace sales? Although I didn't do that, did I?
Sc2 has one of the most powerful game editors that are shipped for free, especially considering it's ease to use.
Everybody can pick it up quickly and do something with it. Sure, some things are harder to learn, but overall Sc2 is a good tool for casuals.
Okay but the fact is that SC2 is really not that great of a game overall. It has very low worldly appeal outside of Korea. It has a ridiculous learning curve that makes it impossible for non-diehard fans to enjoy playing the game. Watching it isn't really that exciting either.
I can only speak for myself, but when I saw the finals of TSL3 or NASL I was on the edge of my seat.
For me those were the most exciting eSport matches I've ever seen.
Yes I did compare, and I saw you didn't see Clannad, OMG OMG. How come nobody on this forum have seen this anime, tsktsk.
Go watch clannad and clannad afterstory. The first 32 episodes goes a bit slow, but then prepare for the best thing ever created since oxygen.
I think I've seen a few minutes of Clannad. Or maybe Kanon. Or maybe both. I can't really tell them apart.
And wait- did you just tell me I have to watch 1 1/2 seasons of boring until I get to the good bits? xD
I kinda only finish series which I either really like or which are quick-paced enough to live through them. "a bit slow" is probably already enough to make me stop after 3-4 episodes, because I lose interest.
Same happened when I watched Lucky Star (seeing your portrait).
O.o WHHHHATTTT???? You can do that in Galaxy? I mean, I guess it makes sense that you can, but I just assumed that Blizzard put something in the compiler that would make it through an exception or something. Oh man, I NEED to learn that. That isn't sorta useful, its INCREDIBLY useful! I can't even think of all the times I have needed to set the size of an array with a variable, and just made it "1000" or something, just in case.
Oh well, I guess I overreacted. Still, I had no idea you could do that, that is awesome!
A constant variable - not a normal variable. Array sizes still can't be dynamic.
As said before, Sc2 is only approximating the number (so do a lot of programs and languages, just with a different degree of accuracy). But if I remember correctly it goes lower than 1/16th. I think it was something like 1/4000th.
Is it necessary for you to have even higher accuracy? Or was it just curiosity?
Watch the hell out for cliffs. If you use some patches of cliff to block an area, then make sure they're the same for everyone, even if they're not intended to be walked on. Tank drops, reaper/colossi still care.
Make sure the walking distance of one main to the other (one natural to the other) is long enough. If those distances are very short then they have to be easily defensible.
Make sure that the distance between mineral patches and cliffs is about the same for each equivalent expo. E.g. on Metalopolis some main bases have mineral patches closer to the cliff, so you can stand below the cliff with Stalkers/Marauders and attack probes.
Remember that Zerg has no early range units, so don't add places where Terra/Toss can bunker down without the Zerg being able to hit back (like on Lost Temple)
Use a small ramp to your main if the walk distances are short. Especially on 4player maps. No one should be able to gamble for a 6pool and win with it.
Unit Group - Unit count of (Units within X distance of POINT) == 0
Something like this :)
You have to look around a bit for the right unit group condition. There are like 5-6. Most would work, but some are less complicated than others.

Thanks, I've put out an announcement.

Ah well, I feel like I'm working with the C preprocessor there :D Just a slight irritation.

Is this .. like.. the entire thing? Doesn't look like a spaceship but more like a barrel or piece of a water pipe :D
And what do you mean where to go from here?

Excellent video and audio quality. I didn't know Galaxy+ + already had stuff like pointers :0
Was the decision to use # in front of new keywords just for design reasons?

TSOF - I was waiting for that mod! :D
So, is it only a nice-looking movie snippet, or do you plan to make more with/out of it.

Yes, I can clearly see how you're stating all the changes.
Not everything has been bad. A lot is, but not everything.

Oh yes Oh yes Oh yes Oh yes. It took them like 1 1/2 years. Finally, OVA 8!
Now we "compare our assets"? :) http://myanimelist.net/animelist/s3rius
But honestly I'm not very happy about the recent anime series. There isn't really anything that seems worth watching. >.>
