I'm not sure if i would ever have tried to do some icons for SC2 if they were higher resolution... But yeah... sometimes it's a big lose for some details.
Oh... mmhh... yeah i'm kind a dead at the moment... i guess... there didn't seem to be much of a need for icon arts. Or people asked and then i didn't heard anything from them again. So i got bored after a while...

I messed around a lot with my infestation ability and i'm sorry that i'm not done yet but it became very difficult.
At the moment it is and ability on the infestors that can be toggled to auto-cast with and has range of 8. Only terran building with lesser then 1/3 health can be targeted (so they have to burn). After that the infestor will start to channel its ability for 5 seconds (it were 10 seconds on an earlier version but it was too difficult to infest an building before it burns down and scv can still save building by repairing them).
Anyways if the infestation has sucsess the building turn into an infested version of itself controlled by the owner of the infestor.
Actually there are 3 different kinds of infested building and more are going to follow:

Infested Command Structures
Command Center, Orbital Command, Planetary Fortress
These big structures start to produce a varity of different infested creature strains as infested terrans (look at the infested civilians), infested marines and abberation, a true monster.
Infested Production Facilities
Barracks, Factory, Starport
These infested structures have access to civil and militar ressources and are able to spawn infested marines beside the standard infested terrans.
Infested Research Facilities
Machinering Bay, Weaponry, (Refinery)
These infested structures have corrupted everyone inside them and are able to breed big amounts of infested terrans.
Other Infested Structures
Bunker, Turrets, Supply Depots
These structure are taken over by infesting hyper virus of the zerg. There original function are mostly taken out. For example supply depots can't lower anymore. If one of those structures is destroied a small swarm on infested terran pops out.
Infested structure can only hold a limited amount of infested lifeform at a moment and to breed new unit they pay with there own health. An infested building with lesser then 1/2 life won't be able to spawn more infested lifeforms unless it is healed or regenerate it health. A infested building always starts with half of there units prebuilt. (Rounded down)

Please note that non of the infested lifeforms can be controlled by the player directly. They will just swarm around there starting building and try to kill what comes in there way. So they are pretty dump, but useful if you are able to take over one of the enemies building in an harasse. It distracts him and will deal serious damage if it is being ignored.
Sadly the auto-cast for this ability didn't works to well at the moment, but i hope i will be able to make this ability easier to use.
You can post any additional idea or comments here of cause.

As i seen my defiler ability icons on some of the Sc2 BW maps i was so happy that i started to remake the old metasynaptic node upgrade for it.

I know it's been a while since my last post but i have to tell you that i'm still not dead.
Indeed i was working and a secret new infestor strain that is able to infest terran buildings, instead of throwing around some Space-Marine eggs.
As soon i'm done with it. I will share it with you, but i'm not sure how i should publish it.
Should i make a mod out of it? ...or better leaving it as a map?
Please let me know and don't miss me if i'm gone for another week or maybe two.

Oh then are you are those guys making these SC2 BW maps =) i have to say that i like those a lot... but maybe you should get another texture for the scantiped... or even a model for the defiler... don't think the scantiped fits to the defiler to well. Also it's a little confusing seeing those guardians as queens =P

My kind of taking them is a little... different maybe as i can't promise to do them and i'm sometimes limited and time or mood.

So here come the corruptive form attack from the corrupters. Hope you kind alike those tiny bugs.
I also burrowed some old WIP for the crawler building armor and hansons childs. Maybe i will continue working on them today.
If you have some ideas how the queen attack icon for the queen against air can look like please post!
