Sure there might be people who want it and act calmly about it, but this influx of new people who just spam the forums like the three* people above me will seriously bring this forum down to its knees.
I wasn't really pertaining to this topic. But the blog post about the give away. Its gotten up to 1700+, and I highly doubt that all the active members of this forum total up to that number.
I would say go down the list of post count and give it accordingly, but then I might not have a chance. And God knows I've been doing everything to get one: contests, giveaways, friends, anyway I could think of to getting one.
And now it seems what I was saying it true. The amount of spammed topics talking about the giveaway is appalling. And knowing that the majority of the people will promptly leave afterward and not contribute is depressing.
I really like how the majority of people on that list are people who have never even posted on the forums before today.
I happen to really like this forum, and I do hope that this giveaway does not clutter the forum with crap.
You could get a memory cleaner, such as cleanmem. Works really nicely with dropping mem usage. It can usually drop Firefox from 50,000mb to only 1,000mb.
When I suggested that your hero needs to be near allied buildings, I meant it as just a requirement for the skill. Not necessarily meaning that he consumes he's allies, but instead needs the collective "life force" in order to speed up his regen.
If you're really worried about lore. Make it so that your hero needs to be within a certain distance of an ally building in order to regen faster and take away the necessity of standing still or being burrowed. This means that he is "linked" with his fellow zergs.
Create:
Ammo variable
HaveAmmo Buff/Behavior
Shooting Skill
Set it up so that in order to use the shoot skill the character needs to have the HaveAmmo buff applied.
When ever you use the skill set up a trigger to decrease the Ammo variable by one.
When the Ammo variable reaches one, take the HaveAmmo buff off of the unit.

Lol, you're really making this out to be a long action-y game. I might think about implementing your ideas once I get the framework down.
