UFOs exist as a matter of fact because flying objects that are unidentified are UFOs by definition. I was actually being charitable in attempting to distill the meaning of "If there are UFO-s that will rock nothing in science" because the statement makes no sense on multiple levels...

Anyway, the press conference deals with a lot more than aircraft. It goes into very brazen specifics. Yes there are a fair share of "lone wolf" radio controllers but there's some top brass as well, putting their storied reputations on the line. For what? Undue media attention? I just don't see that being an all-encompassing factor here.

that will rock nothing in science.

That's not true, but even if it was, that kind of esotericism is a falsehood in itself. So it will rock everything, but not science? No, science is a subset of everything.

You're gonna tell me the emergence of a new science (the study of extraplanetary species) won't rock science? Please. Besides, one of the burning questions in biology is how much of a physiological difference there would be in an independently developed, intelligent alien species. The prospect of an alien species possessing a near-identical likeness to us would open some serious doors to understanding our own origin.

Tell me plainly and directly what you're accusing me of by labeling me a "troll." Do you mean to say I'm attempting to illicit a negative response? Actually I would much prefer a civilized discourse. But no discourse can occur with these little "yeah that's pretty cool" tidbits that take special care to not rock the boat of reductionist mundanism.

I never said I wasn't bending the rules. I'm just bringing attention to stuff that, if true, rocks everything you knew about "the big picture," which is surely at the heart of the spirit of scientific exploration. In all fairness though, the UFO Disclosure Project does mention Kevlar and some other marvels in modern engineering (to say nothing of biology).

    1. No. There's bound to be some lost gems in the database. What's wrong with keeping them tucked away out of harm's way? Conversely, what's right about purging them at all?

    2. No. 2+ years is plenty long!

    3. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at it being $40. StarCraft II is a solid investment no matter how you shake it. I'm getting it.

    4. It won't sell as much as Diablo III but it sure will have a lot more staying power.

I mentioned this documentary in passing in the debate thread but it honestly deserves a full post at the very least. I'll just put it right here for the betterment of medical science:

So let's rediscover our common ground and talk about Emperor Pope-atine and his organized religion that does more to obfuscate and outright sabotage the true faith than any atheist ever could. You gotta love the red shoes, as if God himself stipulates that there must be some obvious visual discrepancy:

I can't wait to see what mental gymnastics you undertake to dodge this.

I bet. But it's a simple matter really. Here you see Exodus 21:23-25 (NIV):

"23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."

Pretty grim. But here is what Jesus says in Matthew 5:38-39 (NIV):

"38 You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also."

The ramifications of this direct denouncement should be obvious. This is the meaning of the New Testament (new will). Nonetheless, Jesus spoke against the vices of fornication, period. Without fornication, homosexuality loses what makes it homosexuality, being reduced to garden-variety "bromance."

EDIT: With regards to the hate accusation (in direct response to my disavowal of the very same), you're gonna have to at least grant that I say what I mean and mean what I say for our dialogue to be worth anything.

Because nothing else was in the least bit informative or constructive or genuine...it all came from the one to lock the thread, the so-dubbed "anti-unicorn." Irony.

Okay. These troll accusations are puerile garbage. It's just a blanket term that denigrates us both.

Now, if this falls within the scope of the thread, may I request an article? See, I'm trying to see if the planets are ultimately moving closer or farther away from the sun, but I get conflicting results. I just can't find a clear consensus.

I assure you that my opposition to homosexuality is equivalent to that of premarital sex and masturbation: completely void of personal bias, and borne only of an unflinching fealty to God's law.

Can anyone say that the images posted in the unicorn thread had absolutely nothing to do with unicorns? I just get the feeling that some people are just anti-unicorn. http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/general/off-topic/44711-all-about-unicorns-no-one-is-making-you-look/#p7

The brilliant irony is that EternalWraith's contribution to the thread actually taught me something about the unicorn.

Hookah's video amounted to little more than character assassination of a bunch of dunderpates that can't even be bothered to find out what the sun is made of. That's not fair!

My problem with the graph is that, with a smaller earth you don't have, say, an exposed outer core...instead, what would be the outer core is now the surface. Is this graph applicable to other, smaller planets? If not, that is my point. Either way, I will say no more.
