You mean the model is playing animation but sliding up? I don't think that there are animations for walking up or down. Actor is rotated to angle of ramp/hill. That must be problem . Your actor doesn't rotate.
I don't get this problem. For me it works just fine. Your bitmap is a little noisy. I took look at your textures. There is a contrast issue.
Well i don't know how are the textures applied to terrain but when I'm making a ground texture in 3ds max I add a UVWmap modifier and apply texture to a face. By this i suffer with a cloned texture but i have it in bigger resolution if camera is looking only at small area.
Dustin is a cool guy but I'm not convinced about bnet guys professionalism. Looks like their style of work doesn't exactly match with game producers's.
When you are reducing poly make shure that every polygon is not flat with nearby neighbor. You can model a box with 1000 polys but every poly will be as flat as neighbors. Limiting to 6 polys won't give any bad affect to look of the box.
No, they've already stated that the downloader will let you install at midnight, you simply can't buy the game(therefor it is of no use to you) until 10:00 CEST.

Can i make a game with a set of textures and only one (the same) model? For me it seems impossible since bitmap is assigned in material editor back in max.
I got a problems with importing model and texture to editor. The model becomes a sphere covered with white texture. Once i managed to load it properly but texture was all white even if it was loaded properly. Any solutions?

Looks really nice. You could increase the map size by scaling units and camera (that should not be a problem because there is no much of objects).
The dialogs could be a little smaller so people could view them at once.
I'm looking forward to full version with diplomacy, entire war system and technology. Management of few planets at once would be nice.

I found a solution. I had to restart entire editor. I used internal path and it work.
