    hiho,

    i created a hero with 5 attributes but i almost wonder where i can set the starting value of my attributes. i want them to be 10 at lvl 1 but they are always just 0 - i already explored how to raise them through level ups! =)

    what have i got to do for that?

    hiho,

    i would really love if High Templar would have got an attack animation. he is the perfect model of one of my planned heroes for my RPG. i think it is always the best if all unit models have got at least one attack animation @ blizzard. (if blizz read this)

    or is there another way for me to add him an attack animation without knowledge how to do something like that??? 0.o

    hiho,

    i really used constant vars mainly for variable array indexes. but atm i can not set an index of a variable to a constant variable. i think that is really important!

    i hope blizzard will add this little, but very great feature. =)

    hiho,

    yeah i know that i can change names and tooltips of unittypes etc. but i need it for a specific unit. :-/

    and i still don't know how to change a tooltip of an item in the hero inventory in general...

    EDIT: and btw, sure it is possible to add abilities to an item, BUT NOT via triggers afaik... and that was my question. :-(

    well some functions as HeroRevive will exist in future and will work - that is good! but im still missing some important functions...

    I exspecially need a function to ...

    1. Change the NAME of an item laying on the ground (unit) 2. Change the name of an item in the inventory 3. Change the tooltip of an item in the inventory

    and what else would be really nice ...

    4. Add an Ability to an Item

    I hope this is read by a blizzard member. =) The new editor is great but atm i can not develop my project, because these 4 functions are totally missing and when i read in the native list, they are not even planned! :'(

    hiho,

    nice project. i also played and even made such RPG maps for wc3. since the new editor came out i wanted to make my new RPG map, but i noticed very bad things...

    many, or lets say, nearly all important hero functions such as Hero Revive are missing completely at the moment! that is why i just stopped my project for a while... :-(

    hopefully blizzard will add those missing functions in a new patch!

    i would suggest that we collect bugs, suggestions and glitches about the beta editor for a huge single post on blizzards beta editor forum. perhaps blizzard will look it up and fix those things with the next patches - we can just hope.^^

    here is already my small list:

    Missing Functions: A function to ... - add an ability to a unit - add an ability to an item - add an event to a trigger - change level or exp of a unit - get level or exp of a unit - change the name of a unit - get the name of a unit - change the name of an item - get the name of an item - change the item slots of an item container - get the item slots of an item container - get the current level of a unit's ability - revive a unit

    There should be support to display up to 5 attributes for a hero. 4 is too less and 5 would be a great number for many mappers.

    Bugs/Glitches: -Terrain foliage does not display in editor, but only ingame since 2nd editor start.

    -It is very difficult to deselect triggers etc. after you "select all".

    -If you switch in data editor to another data, the old one is still displayed until you selected a new one.

    The problem appears if you just got one data object in an editor - for example if you just let your own creations show up.

    -There is just a "NoFlyZone" (doodad) in the pathing editor, but not a "NoFlyTexture".

    It is not good that a full Galaxy script is disabled.

    Many mappers just don't want to script in GUI because Galaxy would be more organized for them.

    -> That is also my opinion.

    The new GUI is really powerful - but i really would love to script in Galaxy and not with a GUI-Galaxy mix with custom scripts. T.t

    The non-english editor (german) got problems with interfaces.

    Some option text's do not show up - but have functionality!

    I would love to see a tutorial which explains how to make hero abilities which i can learn with my hero after he leveled up. The abilities should have about 10 levels and i want to know what i have to do to get x skillpoints at lvl y per level up.

    And i also got another problem... Is it possible for me to change the UI so that the 5th attribute of my hero is shown properly?

    EDIT: Well i forgot to report about another problem i have. xD The terrain foliage isn't shown to me since i started my editor the second time. I already tried to solve the problem with the "view" options but nothing helped. :-( And also my grafics are alll ultra. Does anybody of you hve got a clue about this "bug" or "feature" (xD)?
