thats perhaps the difficulty with it.
if i use your "strategy" there would also be a problem.
if you reach the supply limit the structure still trains units until you deactivate it and everytime the errormessage would show up. xD
btw: this is not the weapon attack i want for this unit. in data editor i set up another weapon.
but now i got 2 - my custom and the standart.
in editor everything seems to be fine until i test the map or restart the editor. >.<
the missile of my custom attack still does not show up.
i tried so many things to get it work but nothing helps...
it still does not work.
im now using a periodic event which looks how much time left on my timer - that works but it is a shit work arround which i hate...
i have got an idea for a funmap.
there some players must train huge armies and now i decided on making an auto train ability.
so you have got one button.
when you just click on it,
the structure will create a single type of this unit.
but if you rightclick on it you activate an autocast ability,
which trains 4 units of that type within one second.
is this possible - and how?
i really can't imagine to make a button with 2 different effects.
i already looked how blizzard did the carriers with their auto-cast but it seemed for me to be built up from another concept...
i just want a new spawned unit to become invisible without colission for 10 seconds.
the data editor would be a nice tool for such an "ability" i think.
but i really don't understand how to make it.
my first though is an ability without a button which gives the unit a buff when it is activated.
this buff makes the unit initially invisible and has a duration of 10 seconds.
finish effect removes the invisible effect again.
well - just though how it COULD work but as i said im a noob with data editor and don't really understand it.
could you tell me what i have to create in data editor to create such an effect?

well i created that timer and even a window for it,
so that i can see when it is done.
but when the timer reaches 0 nothing happens.
im not a noob im coding and i know how to make such a thing but this really just don't work.
i use the same event in other maps - there it works !? -> wtf
i already tried it with another timer variable and another creation func of the time - nothing worked for me...
now im using a periodic event which counts itself down to 0.
this works but it is not what i wanted. T.t

as the thread title says...
when i change the weapon of a unit the whole animations, sound and even the missile of the attacks got lost.
even if the new weapon is a copy of the old one!
i already tried to change events etc in actors but only with some melee units im able to restore animations.
sounds and more important MISSILES are still lost! :-(
i don't really know what i can do else...
the data editor is also extremely bugged.
my hydralisk copy with the custom weapon always gets the ranged attacked which i then have to remove which has no effect - when i test the map the weapon is there again BUT not in editor!
when i restart the editor the weapon is shown again.
no sense to remove it at all - it will be there next game test or editor restart. T.t

i will show you a screen shot. my "hydralisk" mutated to something like a big bug which is a half of a unit. >.<
now the armor icon also doesn't show up right. but im actors everything is set to the right values - i compared it with other units. T.t
