Anyway, anyone know how to make Dark Swarm? I'm always trying to do something with this map. Currently, I'm trying to get him to revive at any Hatchery/Lair/Hive you have on the map after he dies.
Okay... so, it's bugged. Does blizzard know about this?
Oh, and right now, my current hero is a 'classic' hero. No levels or Exp. Why? I don't know which Hero type they are going to use for SC2. :/ Does that affect anything?
So, it umm... it gives me "Revive Hydralisk (None)" I can't set the hotkey, and I cannot change the unit name. :/ Also, it doesn't have a revive time, it does it instantly, and as you can see from the screenshot, he NEVER appears! XD
I'm trying to make a "revive hero" command/ability/button for my hero, so I can revive him if he dies. Right now, I want to place the command next to the Queen button on the command card for Hatcheries/Lairs/Hives. However, I don't know how to revive him, so I'm doing everything from scratch. It's basically like building a Queen from the Hatchery/Lair/Hive, except the button is grayed out when the Hero is alive. When he is dead, the button lights up, allowing me to revive him. It grays out when the Hero has been revived.
How do I make this happen? I've been trying to use various buttons, abilties, etc from scratch, but I don't know really what I'm doing.
A brand NEW ability? I know how to make custom copies, but not brand new ones. I still can't figure out how to change the damage in my copy of Psi Storm.
However, I just made the weapon for him, and it's working fine, except there's no impact (blood, etc.) animation! It also upgrades fine now after editing the Zerg Missile Upgrades. The only thing missing is the impact animation (blood coming out of organic target, etc.), and I don't know how to fix that one.
Oh, thanks! Though, when you test the map, the start location for some odd reason doesn't work. I set it to Player 1 (the one you play) and it doesn't center on my Lair as I have it set.
Anyway, other things: I can't find a way to swap out sounds for a new weapon, and usually when duplicating effects/sounds, some of them fail to work. Like if I duplicate the needle spines without making custom effects with the normal sounds, I get no sound, and sometimes the projectile goes in random directions. Not fun.
I really want to the ability to be able to change models and sounds that are connected to the weapon without much difficulty. It would save me a lot of headache.
Well, guys, I'm still working on Kheldrun (See this thread.) and well, since he's going to be Psionic, his melee attack (remember Hydras have melee animations that do damage equal to their needle spine damage) is special. Since he is going to be a glowing Hydralisk, I wanted his slicing claws to make Psi Blade (Zealot attack) sounds instead of the Zerg ones. Does anyone know how to swap the sounds out without duplication and what not?

Actually, you did. And it was helpful. I do have blood impact now. I just realized that it's not as common as I thought originally.
Anyway, thank you! I hope I can figure this out later when I make his Psionic version of the spine model.

I think I got it to mostly work, but I still hear the normal swiping sounds from my Hero when he melee attacks. Anyone want to help me fix this?
