Yeah. Though, with the Mass Recall mod, I want to see if I can remake my maps into SC2. It'll also allow to customize Kheldrun. Or, I can just install SC1 and Brood War again and finish the maps. :P That may be easier.

    @Hockleberry: Go

Not to be pushy, but I noticed you didn't update the news portion there about my return. I'm assuming you forgot and/or were busy, so it's not a problem. However, I'd appreciate the notice. :)

And threads? I can't find the link in my profile? Is it just not available? If it is, could we add this as a new profile feature because it'd be really handy to track where I've posted, where my threads are, so I can go immediately to them and then see if there are any responses. It's a difficult thing to go fishing for my posts and threads.

    Thanks!

Welp, shouldn't have asked a lore question if you care about spoilers. :P

    Good point. XD

Though, it's more like "WHY?! I love that planet so much!" ;_; Then again, the sacrifice of the planet for the universe gives Shakuras an even more noble name.

    Um... I haven't even played the HoTS campaign yet and I don't own LotV. O.O;

But I LOVED that planet. *sobs*

Do you mean StarCraft: Mass Recall? No, I have not yet.

Yup. Getting older is what steals our life away. :) A family, huh? That reminds me of the Gaming Universe's golden era: my old internet home. That website is still alive, albeit barely.

    Thanks, guys.

How is everyone doing? :) I recently got back into SC2 and got HoTS for $9 (Digital Code) on eBay. And yes, it's legitimate because it works. Anyway, I've been playing with the Editor again and having fun with Kheldrun and such. Since there are some great SC2 -> SC1BW mods here now, I'm going to try and remake the first five missions of my "The Rise of the New Agent" SC1 Campaign to SC2. And then the SC2 sequel campaign.

Though, I can't promise I'll finish those; I'm thirty years old now, and real life has caught up to me. I wonder if the people who helped me with Kheldrun's current state (models, portraits, icons, spells, etc.) like Demonette, MasterDinadan, Sixen, deadpica, ShadowThanatos, Docablo, Salirth, and VoidPotato are still here? (Did I miss anyone there?)

    Anyway, good to be back.

posted a message on Need help exporting JUST a custom unit alone.

    Also, hi, I'm back. :)

Anyway, so, some of you know VERY well that I have made a Psionic Hydralisk hero named "Kheldrun" with the help of many talented people (see them in the credits on my KheldrunTestMap).

I've been heavily modifiying Kheldrun and recently, I got HoTS (I found a digital code on eBay for $8.99, and it works perfectly), so I wanted to 'remake' the Test Map using the Swarm mods.

Problem is, I didn't know the SwarmCampaign mod was so different from the normal units mod. While I like the additions of the Swarm Campaign (like Guardians which I want in Kheldrun's brood), I want to make Kheldrun as a single unit that I can export into an SC2Components map or a Mod. That would make it easier to for me to transfer him into missions for my planned SC2 Campaign starring him.

The thing is, I'd have to make a new Mod file and re-import everything again. I had to do it twice and there were lots of things I needed to add (like Tooltips, and renaming actors and abilities) to the new version of the Test Map. (Note: the original Test Map is using the Liberty Dependencies.)

Otherwise, using "Copy" from the old map worked great. However, I don't want to go through and add those Tooltips, and stuff all over again to make him work properly.

Now, the Revive Kheldrun ability, which is supposed to be added to a Hatchery, Lair, and Hive (next to the Birth Queen button to the right). Also, Kheldrun is affected by the Zerg Missile and Zerg Ground Armor upgrades. These things would have to be added manually to the upgrades because I want to be able to transfer Kheldrun to any of maps with ease to work with ANY SC2 Dependency. Thus, the manual additions.

I also noticed on my new map that I could not properly add Kheldrun to the upgrades section. He wouldn't appear as an Actor or as the Unit affected by the upgrades no matter what level in the table. Thus, whenever I upgraded at the Evolution Chamber, he wouldn't gain those upgrades. It might have something to do with the fact that I copied and pasted him from the old version of the map (which also is marked as Out of Date due to some lighting issues), and thus, there may be bugs in his unit.

Either that, or the Swarm Campaign Mod can't handle more than 128 objects in its upgrade list (which is really dumb).

So, I have some questions: 1) How do I make a Mod that merely has Kheldrun as a unit with everything he needs, save the modified Hatchery/Lair/Have and upgrades? 2) What could be causing the Upgrade problem I described above? How do I get Kheldrun into the Upgrade Fields and keep him there? Note: I only did Ground Armor, so I'm not sure if Ranged will work. It's possible that the Upgrades messed up because I copy Kheldrun with only most of the things he needed for himself, and now the map is bugged.

Thanks ahead of time. If you need screenshots or further description, I'd be happy to oblige, though, I may be slow to reply due to how busy I am these days.

    Quote from Ahli634: Go

I think, yes, because there exists a color fix for 64 bit windows versions, too.

Please read my comment in this link to learn what you can do to improve Starcraft and it's battle.net for Windows 7/Vista:
    http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/solve-common-graphics-issues#c-3389149742

Blizzard screwed up their Support article with the color issue because they are linking the registry fix for wc2. -.-

    Ooo... thanks.

    Quote from Kueken531: Go

Color glitches for old games tend to disappear, if you stop the explorer after starting the game. After starting the game, go to your taskmanager and stop the explorer.exe process, then alt-tab back into the game. For many games, this makes any color glitches disappear. Never tested this for SC1 specifically, though.
After closing the game, you can execute the explorer.exe from the task manager again.

Yeah. I remember that. I just don't remember the exact batch file you need to make for SC1.

I haven't tried installing the game yet, but I want to go back and finish my Rise of the New Agent Campaign so Kheldrun's story is told.

I know many will probably not play it (that could be fixed with an SC1 mod for SC2), but I've gotten enough requests to finish it that I'm going to do so.

Does anyone know if SC1 will work on Windows 7 64-bit? I know it works on 32-bit, but I'm worried it might have problems on a 64-bit machine.

Too bad there isn't a "good old games" version of SC1.
