Got a big problem with .dds files. I got radeon and i can`t find a proper photoshop plug-in. Anyone here uses photoshop and radeon?
I do, had to look here and there but i found it.
EDIT: Actually, i think i installed the NVIDIA one and it still works, i'm not sure but that's the file i found on my photoshop plugins folder and it works for me.
Looking at the screenshots, they seem to have just the model imported but not the animations, the Worgen seems to be motionless, i could be wrong though.
Hello everyone, it's been a year since i started using the wonderful 3ds max and about 7 months since i started character modeling and was very happy when i found out that in SC2 it was possible to import custom made models with no problem, then countless of... (...story goes on for another 3 hours) so the 3 of us couldn't be happy together. Here's a couple of my newbie models which i hope to improve soon™, some of you may have seen them already, some may not, either way:
Playable Character - FOXTROT 01.
NPC - E.S. Trooper.
NPC - Captain Gunter: Same gear as the Trooper with different texture on the chest and wearing a Recon Mask.
All models are around 1400 Polygons each. There's a model for both genders, but the armor looks basically the same, smaller for women (sorry, no sci-fi bikinis). I don't draw Concept Art unless i'm working with more people or if i need opinions, all i need is in my head...or most of it. Anyway, that's it! :)
I want changeable clothing (like in WoW for example), but I'm unsure how I'm going to do it. I'd like different meshes for the clothing, but I don't know how I'm going to have that attached to the same bones as just the body, which probably rules out having it as attachment points.
I'm no programmer but I suppose you can code it so that all polys controlled by X bone are replaced by the ones of the new equipped model, anyway, that's what comes to mind =/
One of the few things we're lacking around here are modelers
I was under the impression that ther was a plenty of modelers here D: oh well, modeler here too, you can see a couple of my models in one of my map projects, though i have about a year of experience.
Another thing, i noticed that when you edit a project, it refreshes the date, however, after a couple of minutes, the Last update goes back to the date the project was created, so, some projects seem like they have never been upated since creation, i don't know if anybody else has seen this, but i just edited mine and now it says that it was edited 3 days ago, the day i created it :(
Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone here knows the polycount of the current units? they don't look like they have over 1000 polygons but i could be wrong. Thanks in advance.

Walls are easy to make, it doesn't take much time or skill.

I, Rizaun, the mighty warrior from the Ewok Clans, approve your modeling. Good job, now, get back to work soldier! ò.ó
