The more important question than 'Is it legal?' is whether or not Blizzard will remove your map. Since Blizzard technically owns all maps created with the editor, they could be held responsible if their 'property' breaches copyright laws. Litigation in these cases rarely occurs. The more likely result is that Blizzard would remove your map 'just in case.'
As stated elsewhere in the thread, though, your map would have to be reported first. DMCA laws in the US often cause companies to act in a 'remove first, ask questions' later policy, but if you look at the custom map list on Battle.net, it seems Blizzard is allowing many maps violating at least trademarked names.
It should be mentioned, though, that Music copyright has been a hotbed of litigation in the past few years, so I would suggest you avoid using copyrighted songs. Last thing you need is the RIAA dropping a 50,000 dollar fine on your ass, PER SONG.
Just upload an asset or something. That way you contribute to the community AND no longer see ads. Win win! Those ads are nasty, though. Before I became an 'author', I would get a damn World of Warcraft Video loading on every page.
1. Evolving editor. Every patch brings big changes. I'm waiting till major problems are fixed.

All data assets in this thread include the maps. As such you should be able to simply copy paste the data assets into your map. Some data assets are inherently more complicated than others to import, so you may have to read up and get a basic knowledge of how data assets work and relate to each other.
If your not sure how, there are tutorials on simple data editing in the Tutorial forum.
I remember the days when I used to do assignments the night before. Nowadays I do assignments about 3 hours before they are due. :(
As to the sleep discussion, it's quite interesting that we don't understand why it's needed. You die if deprived of Non-REM stage 4 sleep for a significant period of time, while babies spend vastly more time in REM sleep than the average adult. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!?
Thanks for the link Molsterr, it is nice to see that the forum does have people working on it. In regards to what you asked, zeldarules28, it's not an abundance of issues, but a small number of serious persistent issues. Thread subscription, post deletion, and the ability to remove yourself from teams/maps/assets are frustrating issues that were apparently being looked at prior to Starcraft 2 being released, yet they have not been addressed.
I am sorry though, I did not mean to derail the thread offtopic. I just feel an announcement of thread subscription would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. :p

I hate to say it, but Rodrigo is right. This is just sad. As if there weren't already too many terrible maps on the first page.

Try the development - Data forum. This forum is for finished data assets.

This is a bad idea. It will simply punish maps that aren't already very popular. Also punishes maps with lower player numbers.
