    @Molsterr: Go

I'm checking it out. Thank you. :)

Edit: Adding the unit ideas I had posted on the Sc2 forums.

    Enderwynn Units:

Man-at-Arms: Basic melee infantry. 50 health, 9 damage, and 1 armor, costs 75 water and 1 food/population. Men-at-Arms will be relatively cheap but powerful basic units, meant for front-line work. Their models will be using a spear and shield and will wear light chain/plate armor.

Crossbowman: Basic ranged infantry. 35 health, 10 damage, 0 armor, costs 50 water and 1 food/population. These guys will be basic ranged support, and might have an upgrade later on that will give them faster attack speed. Their model will be a lightly armored soldier using a crossbow.

Cavalier: Basic cavalry. 45 hp, 15 damage, 0 armor, costs 100 water and 2 food/population. Cavaliers will be sort of a fast unit meant to close distances and will be very effective against ranged attackers. They will have a charge ability (I'm planning on almost all cavalry-like units on having a charge-like ability). Their model will be a soldier wearing plate/mail armor wielding a lance, riding a lightly armored horse.

Pyromancer: Offensive caster. 60 hp. 0 armor, costs 120 water and 1 food/population. They can cast a variety of AoE spells that will be devastating against any army. Spell ideas so far are; Meteor Strike, which causes instant damage to target area. Heat Curse, which slows down movement speed in target area for a certain amount of time. And Flaming Wall which will act like a sentry forcefield that damages, but must be channeled and only lasts for about 10 seconds. Model will be either a robed young man or a lightly armored old man.

Thief: A scout/spy unit. 30 hp, 0 armor, costs 90 water and 1 food/supply. The theif is basically a scout unit that is permanently invisible and functions as a "detector". Kind of like a ground based observer. He will have a few tricks though. He can cast "Mark" which will give you vision of an enemy building for one minute. He can also cast "Rob" which instantly gives you 100 stone and water when cast on a unit production building. The model idea for him will be a somewhat short man wearing rags and holding a dagger which he'll use to mark buildings.

Knight: Heavy melee. 90 hp, 22 damage, 2 armor, costs 200 water 3 food/population. Knights will be high end units available late game. They will be a bit costly to train but the ones you get out will be vital support for your troops. They will have a "Heroic Cry" ability that increases the damage of nearby friendly units when activated. Their model will be a heavily armored knight with a shield and longsword.

Ranger: Heavy ranged support. 60 hp, 20 damage, 1 armor, 175 water and 3 food/population. The ranger will have an autocastable Multi-Shot ability that lets her hit three targets at once, making her a good support unit for Knights and/or massed Men-at-Arms. The model will be a woman wearing a dark green cloak with a longbow and quiver at her side. I'm also planning on having an Ilayan unit with the same name, so I might add something to their names to make them distinguishable like "Royal Ranger" for Enderwynn or simply, "Enderwynn Ranger".

I am planning on making a custom fantasy/medieval style RTS using the SC2 editor. It will feature 4 races/factions, each with original/custom units, buildings, models, and abilities.

As of now I am merely tinkering with the editor to see what it is currently capable of, and might not be able to actually get started on this project until maybe the release of the full editor. For now, I think I'll plan balance, units, and make models.

Will be releasing more info on this at some date. I just wished to share this idea. Any suggestions, tips, help, questions, comments, and concerns are welcome.

I've made a similar thread on the Starcraft 2 Beta Map Development forums and am now here in hopes of seeking more advice.

Edit: Heres the original thread. http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=24630603597&sid=5000

I am currently looking for a model making program to make the models.

Game info: This game will be split up into four different factions. Each will have a different play style and their own units and buildings. As of now, each faction has some elements of typical RTS races but I hope to expand on it further. Factions are:

Enderwynn: Your typical medieval knights and castles faction. They will have a fair assortment of powerful melee and fairly decent supporting ranged and caster units.

Ilaya: A small jungle dwelling nation. They have a lot of ranged units that rely on hit and run guerilla tactics to defeat opponents, and will have a few melee units to hold lines.

Empire of Dawn: A heavily devoted religious empire. They use the same tactics as the Zerg, using masses of ground units but they will lack ranged, making up for it with fast cavalry.

Nightmare's Army: A collection of demons and dark wizards. They're going to be a faction that will rely on diverse unit combinations as well as hard hitting damage units.

There will be two resource types: Stone and Water. Stone will be used exclusively for buildings while Water will be used for units.

As of now I am focusing on making and balancing units for Enderwynn on paper while I search for a model making program. I will be posting the unit ideas I had on the Starcraft 2 Beta forums tomorrow. For tonight, I sleep.

"Valde" is currently a temporary working title. Might be subject to change later on.

Feedback, suggestions, ideas, anything you wish to say is welcome.
