    @Deadzergling: Go

    Thank you for the review, DeadZergling. I noticed some bugs that hadn't shown up in my playthroughs and it appears some of the key functions aren't as obvious as I thought they were. There's an auto-target function for melee attacks that characters can toggle on and off (mentioned in the chicken tutorial and in a tooltip when mousing over your abilities), but it snuck past unnoticed and I really need to make sure folks don't miss that or they'll have a hard time like you did. (Using the auto-target, everything becomes less grindy as you can more easily cut through enemies with melee attacks. It's also a lot more enjoyable than throwing your hammer over and over and over again.)

    I've tested it with a couple of friends a few times and they definitely say it's more enjoyable played as a group, so feel free to test another dungeon with friends and using the melee auto target ;-)

    Thank you again!

    @FunkyUserName: Go

    I'm using a Mac and running as Admin. No idea why it says JPEG. The screenshots save as PNG and I'm converting them to TGA. At no point are they JPEG. I could go the "have someone else publish it" route, but since it's still in testing, that would be a hassle every time I need to post a parch. I should be able to post myself.

    I just tried those steps (delete old files, save map, restart editor, import newly made .tga files, save map, publish) and got the same error.

    Any other ideas? I appreciate the help!

    Appreciate the responses. I've tried to use several different .TGA pictures, but all yielded the same result.

    posted a message on Map won't publish when screenshot attached

    Whenever I try to publish my map after attaching a screenshot to the battle.net info, I get the following publishing error.

    Unable to save resource file (kCFHostErrorHostNotFound / kCFStreamErrorSOCKSSubDomainVersionCode / kCFStreamErrorSOCKS5BadResponseAddr / kCFStreamErrorDomainPOSIX / evtNotEnb / siInitSDTblErr / kUSBPending / dsBusError / kStatusIsError / kOTSerialSwOverRunErr / cdevResErr / EPERM - / Error code is the version of SOCKS which the server wishes to use / / POSIX errno; interpret using <sys/errno.h> / event not enabled at PostEvent / slot int dispatch table could not be initialized. / / bus error / / / Couldn't get a needed resource; alert / Operation not permitted - (1), /Users/*USERNAME*/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/StarCraftIITemp/Publish/Shattered Souls Action RPG post patch 2.5 .SC2Map/Screenshot01.jpg)

    Removing the imported screenshot allows me to publish as normal.

    Any help? I'm using a Mac. I've tried using .jpgs, .tgas, .pngs, and .tiffs. No matter the file format, the issue is the same.

    posted a message on Unable to publish to Americas region

    Did the following publishing error ever get resolved? Just popped up for me tonight:

    Unable to save resource file (kCFHostErrorHostNotFound / kCFStreamErrorSOCKSSubDomainVersionCode / kCFStreamErrorSOCKS5BadResponseAddr / kCFStreamErrorDomainPOSIX / evtNotEnb / siInitSDTblErr / kUSBPending / dsBusError / kStatusIsError / kOTSerialSwOverRunErr / cdevResErr / EPERM - / Error code is the version of SOCKS which the server wishes to use / / POSIX errno; interpret using <sys/errno.h> / event not enabled at PostEvent / slot int dispatch table could not be initialized. / / bus error / / / Couldn't get a needed resource; alert / Operation not permitted - (1), /Users/*USERNAME*/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/StarCraftIITemp/Publish/Shattered Souls Action RPG post patch 2.5 .SC2Map/Screenshot01.jpg)

    UPDATE Resolved: Error had something to do with the screenshots I was using... Able to publish so long as there aren't any screenshots attached.

    Hey Deadzergling,

    If you'd test my map, Shattered Soul Action RPG, I'd really appreciate it. The game is in a fully playable beta state right now. I'm really looking forward to hearing what people think so I can polish it up.

    Appreciate it!

    posted a message on Uploaded soundtracks not playing on bnet

    Didn't get any answers on Trigger board so posting here, since I'm not sure if issue is trigger or data related:

    I uploaded a few soundtracks for a map I'm working on and set the triggers so they'd play at various moments in the game. When testing the map from my editor, everything works fine, but when I upload the map to bnet and test with friends, some of the soundtracks don't play (random sc2 music plays instead), while others work as intended.

    Does anyone know how I might be able to resolve this issue?

    The only other data point that comes to mind is that, for some of the soundtracks, the editor made me set them as "streaming" somewhere in the editor process. I'll have to double check later to see if the soundtracks that aren't playing are all set to stream or not, though if this is the hiccup I'd still be interested in a workaround as the editor didn't give me the option to deselect "streaming" for those soundtracks.

    posted a message on Shattered Soul Action RPG, need testers

    I'm in the beta testing stage of my Rock the Cabinet map, Shattered Soul Action RPG. It's inspired by some of my favorite games from the old SNES days. Any feedback (bugs, thoughts, etc.) would be greatly appreciated!

    battlenet://starcraft/map/1/260721 Players: 1-4

    Description: When an evil sorcerer curses a knight, shattering his soul into shards of its various aspects (Courage, Anger, Wit, Laziness, Hatred & Fear), the soul aspects must work together with the help of the knight's daughter to end the curse and free the kingdom from the sorcerer's reign of terror.

    Features: -Choose which hero you want to play — each has a unique ability, in addition to melee and range attacks. -Overcome dungeons full of obstacles and enemies to fulfill your quest. -Complex boss battles at the end of each dungeon. -Work with the knight's ai-controlled daughter, who comes along for the journey and provides healing and shielding. -Enjoy cutscenes, or skip them if you've seen them all. -Fantasy setting and WC3 models. -Use the mouse to move and the Q,W,E,R,T keys to toggle abilities and use melee and range attacks.

    During beta testing, the three dungeons can be completed in any order.

    Enjoy!

    Mac editor. Anyone else having this issue?

    Can you try to disable the spell checking in the editor settings? Blizz added spell checking in 3.0.

    That did the trick! Thank you.

    Would you mind giving me a bit direction on how to make that behavior? I'm not finding ignore collision or collide in my poking around.

    Target location is set to target point. I appreciate the help.
