    400kb is A LOT you are probably not efficiently programming it.i am even doing all my spells through my triggers and i have to say doing the math i probably only need 100K more if that. and would still have 50kb to spare.

    i really hate go give up those many horus of working time, but you have to understand that this editor makes me too crazy

    i understand that it is still in development, but how can you have such random bugs? thats impossible

    I dunno my map is well over 3 megs in triggers and works fine unless you are talking compressed then im at 250kb. even then you should look at the efficiency at witch your triggers work. make sure you are not creating multiple sets of duplicate triggers for each player. Utilize customized functions for repetitive tasks. I have TONS of things happening in my map and thanks to loops and Pick each player in player group i am able to condense my triggers down and the number of may player is dynamic and could be 20 or any number really if the game could support it.

    matter of opinion, some people like sea food and some people don't, also the challenge of re-creating such a complex game. If you want something original maybe you should start your own project =)

    the way i am doing items is i am storing the items names in a global array. so every time someone picks up an items it is added to the array and reflected in the custom inventory UI. I am using triggers for the entire system so anything that is considered equip i am giving the hero a "Buff" if it is in that particular spot in the array. it's quite simple system actually. there are no physical items at all, everything it tracked through triggers and arrays.

    I am doing the exact same thing for my saving i am putting all my stored values into a one string and using each bit as a "index" for a item or attribute. the only thing is there is a 800 character max amongst all banks. So if you have a 12 player RPG (i might have to change the number of players to 8 because of this limitation) so you would have to divide 800 by 12 gives you roughly 77 characters per player. so if you have 3 saves it will give you 25 characters per save.

    this is a HUGE problem for me and i hope they increase it. I have started to work on other aspects of the map because of these limitations. the way i figure it i have to have have to following

    1 Character for save number
    16 Characters for my skill tree
    2 Characters for my hero name
    Each items slot is 3 Characters
    and each quest saved as done is 3 characters

    i will have most quests repeatable and rewards adjusted to the heroes progress through their crystarium. the only quests i plan on saving are the ones that increase your crystarium level (12 of those) 1 quest to get your summon and 2 quests for additional accessory slots.

    Now if you do the math 15 quests at 3 characters a quest that alone is 45 characters.
    add 1 for save spot number 2 for the players hero name and 16 for skill tree you are at 64 characters without saving ANY items. so here inlys your problem.

    this is why i plan to wait to do any more work on this until the next phase of beta to see if they increase these limitations.

    also my anti cheat takes up 5 characters (if that finds any discrepancies it erases the entire bank file contents.)

    we do have a forum that was just formed and a repository where we keep all the terrain guys maps to the latest alpha build of the triggers for the map. and we do need someone with experience in 3D art. not just needing heroes but some other mic object save points ect... the project is HUGE and it has a lot of moving parts and if you are willing to help bring this beast together we would love to have you!

    Any blog options here that i can post my updates to? if not, i opt for a site improvement! i would use a forum but it's not quite the same. anyway someone suggested that i should do a dev blog for my Final fantasy 13 game and i would kike to do it directly on the site if possible. I have a web server and can put wordpress on it but i would love to keep all my stuff here in the sc2mappster community!

    Due to banking restrictions the crystarium system is being reworked. i would not be able to save every time. also the number of saves per person is going to be significantly lowered to a unknown number at this time. i can give you more information about this when battle net is released out of beta.

    WTF this puts my entire project in jeopardy! how the hell am i supposed to work this that small amount of space. is this 800 per bank file or 800 total? can i just have each player have their open bank file will 800 chars in each? and each player have multiple banks to increase the space?
