Space Guardians
This is something me and a friend teamed up to write a sci-fi story but pretty much abandoned it. Now I want to make it into a custom SC2 game. It will be a RPG.
Nearly 100 years ago, the humans divided into two factions, and shifted away from each other to different worlds… the nobler of the factions remained on the surface of the earth while the Infidels dug deep into the earthen crust and vanished from sight…
In time, the Infidels came to believe that they were the rightful owners of every planet. So they crept from the dark caverns of their single planet to find a strange race known as the Lyzors looking for natural resources to acquire. The Lyzors were an immensely powerful race that would neither bend nor break under the pressure of the Infidels nor the Guardian Force that represented the human faction. However, they were more than willing to open up trade relations with these lesser species.
Nothing can remain peaceful… and in the dead of the night, the sky turned color as the human home world was attacked by the loathsome Infidels. The tide seemed to favor the dark, slimy race, but not in the coming years… the war had carried on for some hundred years, and finally the Infidels relented and fled back to their world to cower in their caves while the G.F., exhausted from the battle, settled back into a peaceful life and began to cleanse and lick its wounds.
Almost as if to mock the descending peace, another attack was launched, but this time on the ground level. Low on ships and materials for making such, the G.F. drafted willing recruits for this face-off between the factions. Oliver Demetry entered the G.F. military at 16… he excelled in combat and later academically…therefore gaining rank for his heroic deeds in hit-and-run battle strategy.
He disappeared for a time, and was captured by the Infidel army… in their hideous grip he learned that the Infidels were human and that they could manipulate the human DNA in slight… this was used as a method of torture – Oliver later escaped the entrapment… but would need to inject himself several times daily with an experimental drug that kept his organs from expanding.
Now he is a target for the Infidels who now can take the natural form of any human being they’ve seen or touched, making it increasingly difficult for humans to live safely. And now they’ve struck again… Oliver’s sister was killed in an attack, and he wants vengeance… his only living kin dead, there is only one path for him… the bitterness of a lonely death.
Knowing him to be a key strategist, the G.F. HQ decides to send him into space where he will observe the newest G.F. spaceships in combat and gauge their effectiveness… he also has a mission; to destroy the Infidel home world, and any objects in his way.
