So I'm making a vote system which after X game time seconds should auto-vote for you and the easiest way for me to do this would be to have a trigger which just uses the default dialog item after X game time seconds. How do I do this?
It works, however, the effect is not as I intended, what I wanted to do is change the Chosen_Point every x minutes, making it possible for me to move units around to completely random locations.
So what I'm asking is basically: How do I make Chosen_Point generate random integers every x minute?
thx a ton for this though :D
edit: and I guess I need to reset the boolean array aswell.
Well, the map consist of 9 zones, each zone has 1 point. I want the players to be split among the 9 points in each of the zones, with the point selected for each player being random (and no point must be selected for two+ players). And a random point in a region sadly isn't going to work :(
So I'm doing a map where every unit for each player is moved to a point every X minute, but I want the points to which the units are moved to be picked randomly i.e. without a pattern. How would I go about picking 1 random point to move to for each player without having two+ players moving to the same point?
I just go under Map -> Variants and set it to Faster
So just make a variant which is set to default where faster is the default speed, you can lock it or unlock it depending on if you want people to change it themselves :)
I like the idea, I love that you used all the old voices (maybe take it a step further and change the sounds of attacks, clicks etc.). but this is a Huuuuuge (yes capital H)project and unless it's done to the core don't believe anybody will bother playing it (which is suppose is the goal :D). I think adding your own twist should be avoided as that sort of kills the entire remake idea. coop = win.
I hope to see the first two missions done to "perfection" soon :D
I usually get errors like these when my variant is messed up in some way. What I did was delete my variant and see if I could upload it, which i could, then I remade the variant one step at a time to figure out what made the error. turned out to be one of the "Controllers" which I had locked as a computer. Apparently that isn't acceptable.

@Reaperguyver: Go
Go to the unit which you want to prioritize. Select it's weapon, look under "Weapon - Acquire Target Sorts +"
Pick a request count (how many targets it needs).
Request percentage 1 (100%) Sorts: TSEnergy
That should do it. But if it doesn't it's in that general area where you would need to tinker :D

@HatTruck: Go
maybe if you insert a 0.1 second game time wait before the create unit? :)
(guessing)

Thanks for all the answers, I need to be more thorough with my trigger and stuff right now, I'll probably figure it out somehow :D

Maybe I need scripting?

@wingednosering: Go hey mate, I can't see what your mistake is, but that's probably because I haven't slept yet.
anyways, i made a map which contains a zealot (i couldnt find a colonist) which morphs into a marine.
basically what you do is:
make unit a make unit b make morph ability (i used the zerg spire -> greater spire morph) make button put morph on unit a
change actor a to abilmorph finish morph to marine destroy
change actor b to abilmorph finish morph to marine create
hope u figure it out.
