    Thank you, Trieva. Was a of bit information. It seems I might not need something incredibly complex as what Ahli634 created, but I am going to need a way to create 20 or so different map segments and have a bank of sorts to remember them all and call upon them in a similar fashion as Ahli634 did. Feels like such a daunting task. Hopefully I can get an idea on how to do this soon and start working on it.

    Anything is possible, the question is, is it worth your time to make a truly random experience? If you made, say, 8 different iterations, and randomly presented them each playthrough, that would be much less coding and give you almost the same effect.

    Well the idea of the map kind of hinges on an actual "random" map. I want to stay clear from presets but if it's not in the realm of possibility for me to achieve I might have to go on something a little less grand.

    Hi there. I just started up again trying to make a sc2 map. It was really difficult trying to start it back when WoL first released and there was little no support for it. Now there seems to be quite a bit of it and I'm hoping a map I've wanted to create will finally be made.

    Now for the question:

    Is it possible to create a random map and later have it wiped in the same game and have a new map created? So say it's a dungeon crawler-esk kind of game. You take your party out and go into a cave that is randomly generated or is a preset depending on the mission. Now that the mission is complete you go to "town" etc. I have no idea if I can make triggers that cause the terrain to simply change or delete itself and create a preset town.

    I'd rather have it so when the player moves into a "doorway" (the end of the terrain piece) that a random terrain piece would be generated and the party continues.

    I should probably just try and work with preset maps to begin with regardless. So if anyone could let me know if it's possible to change out maps during a session that would be fantastic.
