    Hi everyone

    I think it's really sad that the US and EU battlenets don't have the same map-pool. So I'm offering here my Map upload space for anyone that wants to publish something in the EU too and can send me updates to upload via Battlenet.

    I want to help the EU-Battlenet to get some more diversity in their map Cycle and not only the old stuff :(

    Is there a way to set the attack points for a Doodad-Model?
    Since they don't got attachment points, is there ANY way to set them up?

    If not, my TD Map would be damn akward if all towers start to shoot from center ground instead from the top :/

    Wouldn't it be possible to attach Omnilights in a line in front of the unit so that it looks like a flashlight?

    Need a guide how to do that ... no clue :D

    I tried to do it too, but the editor only lets you choose about 8 textures. And if you try to change one of them in the middle of mapping it exchanges the old texture against the new one :/

    posted a message on [WIP] Volcanic Showdown

    Hi There !

    I want to show my "Alpha-Build" of my Map.
    The Story of my Map is about Ltd. Smoker and he's been sent out to investigate a Colony on a Volcanic Planet. The Communication suddenly broke down and the last transmission the HQ got was something about Alien technology on the Dig Site.

    What I have finished uptil now is:
    - Map (80% done)
    - Basic Hero (without new Abilitys, still need to do that)

    What I will do:
    - Cinematics
    - Transmission
    - Special Events like Tactical Nukes to blow your way to the Helipad
    - A lot of Enemys
    - Custom Abilitys and Attacks for Ltd. Smoker
    - Still need to do all the Triggering
    - Maybe 3rd Person Sight Shooter
    - Give him a Flashlight (I have no F*cking Clue how to do that ... If someone knows please tell me)

    Isnt there any way with a custom script to make a Flashlight? I nearly tried everything now ...

    There are no Triggers for Light You cant attach a Floodlight to a Unit (smaller floodlight = very small light) No Light effects in Data Editor ...

    Im going Crazy about this I want my Flashlight :D

    Hi there

    I tried to make a Flashlight for my Ghost. My Idea is a Light similar like the Floodlight Doodad that is always shining in front of the Ghost and follows him around.

    Anyone has any Idea how to accomplish that?

    The only thing ive found was, that the Floodlight has a special Animation for the Light but since there is no way to edit the .M3 models yet, you cant copy that :/

    I would like to know if there is a way to make those writings like "docking bay" or the Nuclear Symbol on top of any texture? Tried to find a way but I cant even find the writing itself hehe Is it only on a special texture? if yes, what's the name of it?

    I need those writings for my destroyed Terran Base Volcanic Map!

    I need a Tutorial about how to attach Models to other Models (Auto-Turret on top of Bunker, Hellion Turrets on Siegetanks etc.) and how to properly change attacks and weapons with the right attachment points. I tried to give Thor 2x Flamethrowers instead of his Guns but the Flame came out of his chest and I couldnt find out how to change it .. (Not the easy stuff, I mean stuff like Uberlisk and his spinecrawlers or if someone can find it out TERRATRON :D )

    I know, for persons that worked already with the WC3 editor all this stuff must be kinda logical but to me its hell on earth!! hehe But I want to learn how to make maps, I just need some good Tutorials to learn how the Editor is build up and how everything is connected to each other!
