    It takes place in an alternate universe where Kerrigan was killed on Char during the assault at the end of Wings of Liberty, Raynor suicidaly attacks Augustgrad and kills Mengsk while the main Dominion army is on Char. Artanis begins to reclaim Aiur and during the attack the Protoss' Connection to the Khala is shattered, leaving them in a second Aeon of Strife. The Tal'darim and Nerazim are now the most united Protoss factions.

    The Terran Campaign will be the first one I plan to do.

    The United People's Protectorate is a Terran group that came into power to fill the Vacuum left by the Dominion. The Protectorate seeks to eradicate the Protoss and Zerg, Believing that doing so will ensure Humanity's security. The Protectorate has passed a law permitting the imprisonment and/or execution of people labeled "Dissenters", Anyone who speaks out against the Protectorate. A former Dominion General, Della Starla, leads a group of people labeled dissenters and forms a rebellion seeking to take the Protectorate out of power.

    The Terran campaign is my most specific plan at the moment, the Zerg will have a new swarm leader (possibly Stukov) but I'm unsure of what the swarm's goal should be. (Does he adopt the Overmind's plan to destroy the Protoss?) The Protoss campaign will deal with an Executor who seeks to reunite the Protoss without the Khala.

    The main problem I have with my current plan for the Terran is that I feel it's too similar to the Raiders Vs. Dominion story and would like some advice on how to differentiate it.

    Some ideas I had on the Gameplay side, Nerfed Siege tanks but increased Terran's other Defensive Capabilities, allowing the construction of Sandbags with a low cost and about 250 health and the Perdition Turret from the campaign and the Devastation Turret from Swann's Co-op missions.

    Allowing the Zerg to research a strain from the building that enables the unit (I.E. The spawning pool contains upgrades for the Raptor or Swarmling Strain. Only one can be chosen) I feel like this will emphasize the Zerg's adaptability.

    An overall drastic increase in the amount of upgrades.

    I've played my fair share of League, still play a few games a week. I didn't think much of the skins as I haven't spent a dime on league and I don't plan to. I can get all the impactful stuff like runes and champions with in game currency I'm gonna do it that way.

    Another question, if Protoss do have children, how old does a Protoss have to be before it is no longer considered a child? If I recall correctly in Broodwar Artanis is about 200 years old, yet Judicator Aldaris treats him like a child, yet if he was considered old enough to become a warrior, I'd guess 200 years for a Protoss is around 18-20 years old for a Terran.

    Thanks for the reply! I have no experience at all with creating custom models and I have seen some amazing models on the Assests portion of this site. I especially like Hammer107 and Supernova134's works.

    I enjoy all the races but my favorite has been the Protoss ever since the Starcraft 1, and by far has always been my best race.

    I'm a huge lore nerd but I wanted to try to distance myself from the main SC2 story, so I can truly make it my own. Going so far as to try to make plausible reasons that the main cast of characters is absent. (Kerrigan was killed before deinfestation, and thus the Keystone never absorbed the energy to revive Amon, For example.) I enjoyed Broodwar's story a lot more than SC2's and much prefer the idea of mortal factions warring instead of fighting a god. I have toyed with ideas for what I could do with the more minor characters like Stukov and Dehaka, since if Kerrigan died before HOTS could happen then she never went to Zerus. (perhaps leaving the new Swarm leader to go there to get essence to evolve new Zerg Strains?)

    I am endeavoring to create a series of at least 3 custom campaigns. I aim to reach a good balance of familiar and new content in the races and their tech trees. I seek ideas for various subjects.

    What strategic niches are left unfilled?

    What smaller aspects of the game would you like expansion upon? (Ex. Dark Protoss.)

    What type of maps do you enjoy most? (Ex. Destroy the enemy base, Fixed Force Missions)

    What mechanics would you like to see? (Ex. The ability to infest a command center)

    What story aspects do you want to see? (Ex. Rebellion against a tyrannical government.)

    What campaign and melee units do you want/not want? (Ex. Add Firebats, Remove Hellions.)

    How can bad units be improved? (Ex. Lower cost for Wraiths)

    Would you prefer SC1 Style Heroes or WC3 Style Heroes? (Static heroes vs. Leveling)

    What new units and abilities would like added?

    All ideas will be taken into consideration but not necessarily added to the final product.

    I was never very good at starting off forum posts so I'll just begin. I am DarkKazoie, I've been playing RTS games as long as I can remember. From Age of Empires to Starcraft I've played and enjoyed this genre more than any other. In every RTS I've played I have always dabbled with mapping, creating a few finished maps (That I refuse to put up because they're really bad.) I have found the Mapster Forums to be quite helpful in learning the SC2 Editor aswell as many a great map to play. I intend to create a custom campaign and I am seeking ideas for custom units, expansion on certain aspects of the game (I.E. Infested Terran/Primal Zerg), and any other ideas you can offer.

    I look forward to seeing what you can come up with. :D
