I used a different colored terrain underneath the trees to give it a feel of something but yea you can't really do much about it.

posted a message on Building a tower crashes the game

I'm not sure how to describe this problem but basically I have a tower, and it works fine if you place it in the game. But if you build it the game crashes. I'm wondering if any of you know the problem or have experienced it before and if you can shed so light on this.

posted a message on How to know if a player owns a specific unit?

So the players have a given amount of time in the game to pick units. If they exceed the stated time, they can no long pick units and the players without the units that can be picked will be kicked out of the game. I think the easiest way to do this is loop through all players and find out if each player has one of the listed units or not. But I don't think such a trigger exists. Help?

Although I agree (and it was shown countless times) that Blizzard has turned money hunger and control freak, this article reflects no aspect of the custom game/modding community.

posted a message on Popularity System Petition?

Meh doubt it will work but w.e:

We, the undersigned, being users of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, ask that Activision Blizzard remove, replace, or change the current popularity system used to one with more listing options or reuse the system that StarCraft, StarCraft: Brood War, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne uses.

We regard the current system as flawed, specific descriptions of those flaws can be found on battle.net, sc2mapter.com, and other resources, and want Activision Blizzard to take measures to improve the system in the interest of the community.

Only when money is concerned, does Blizzard decide to change.

They removed LAN because of Korea and pro-gaming. With LAN, pro-gamers can set up tournaments without dealing with Blizzard, AKA Blizzard gets no cash. With the BNET 2.0, setting up a tournament HAVE to go through BNET, so Blizzard gets money per SC2 bought. I also heard that you need Blizzard approval if you wish to set up a public tournament or something.

They care about money not the community.

When no LAN was announced, people petitioned, Blizzard didn't do jack. And TL is a reputable source, especially with r1ch behind everything.

posted a message on Blizzard's letter about Nexus Word Wars

    @Mozared: Go

I personally have no problems spamming whoremongerer and cocksucker but I can see where you are coming from. The main reason I'm against blizzard banning due to words or discriminatory ideas is due to past maps that are extremely fun but offensive at the same time. Maps like Mexican Border Crossing (or something, forgot original name), Escape to Gay Heaven, etc. Those fun and interesting maps would be instantly banned due to the name. Of course, map makers can just rename the maps and change the names in the map but I feel that would ruin the concept that made the game fun in the first place.

Considering whiremongere and cocksucker are being typed in [allies] chat and people don't really pay attention to char in NWW (too busy looking for words anyways), most likely it'll be like 'huh that's actually a word?' and type it, move on, etc.

Whatever the case I feel that Blizzard is going overboard. In the US, StarCraft II is rated T for Teens, and falls under:

Contains content that might be considered unsuitable for children under 12 years of age. Titles in this category may contain more intense violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, blood, simulated gambling, and/or use of strong language (which is uncensored). Some examples include WWE Smackdown vs. Raw, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, The Sims series, the Castlevania series, the Guitar Hero series, and the first four Ratchet and Clank games.

Considering that words such as "lesbian", "Dyke", and etc are banned, how would I reference this group of people?

Same goes for "gays", "homosexuals" (is that banned?), "fags", "faggots"

If the word "Jesus" is banned, how would I reference this deity?
