I was trying the cinematic editor again, and this time, for some reason, I could select a few objects in the viewport. However, after about five minutes, I couldn't select them anymore, and had to go back to using the window next to the animation timeline to select objects within the viewport.
I don't know if there are still people in this forum. I've been a long-time lurker, and finally wanted to try my hand at the Cinematic Editor.
However, while in the cinematic editor, I noticed that I'm unable to click on units/models inside the viewport. I also can't mouse over the transform handles to move the models once I've selected them from the panel next to the animations timeline.
Are these bugs? Or is there a specific parameter I need to check before I can do these things?

The transform handles do show up, but they don't highlight when i mouse over them, and I can't drag them.
Funny enough, I also can't use the front and side view cameras to move any objects along the y axis either. very weird :-/
