I think it's something to do with game variants but I don't have the time to test it right now. It occurs with Lordaeron Strike but not Desert Strike. LS has a 4v4 mode. DS does not.
Make a morph ability. Have it turn your ogres into ogre magi. Check that this functions properly, it should be straight forward.
Now set it to be auto-cast. Test again. Hopefully your ogres immediately turn into magi. If not, change the autocast range settings.
Lastly, add a requirement that requires your upgrade. The ability won't activate until the upgrade is researched, upon which all ogres will turn into ogre magi.
Regarding icons, sounds like a mod issue. Maybe the mod you have on your PC is not the same as the version that is on battle.net?
Yep, remove the text and overwrite the sound. This will work.
Alternatively you can set error messages for specific unit types in their actors, which includes the "cooldown not ready" error. Just set this in your unit actor to display blank text and no sound.
If you never want marauders to be loaded into bunkers then you could add a "not marauder" validator to the bunker's load ability. I don't think that there is a trigger-only solution.
Don't use a trigger to create marines for the AI. Instead, manually place marines around your bunkers. The AI will automatically send those marines into the bunkers and rebuild them if they're lost. I'm assuming you're talking about the campaign AI. The melee AI will just attack with them.

SC1, but I really was too young/stupid to know what to do with it. I think all I made were some maps where you start in a fortress and defend against AIs. I remember not knowing how to set up an AI so I'd just run the map as multiplayer, and restart the map until I got the "fortress" start location.
WC3. I never really made anything noteworthy though. I made about 25% of a Final Fantasy map.

Add a condition that checks to see whether the owner of the triggering unit is not the same as the owner of the killing unit.
This condition will prevent this bug and a myriad of others.

This should work. Add it to the offending unit's actor in XML mode.

But yeah yesterday I couldn't upload to SEA.
